Chapter 2 Departure
I was currently on the top floor of the Sears Tower, which I had designated as my private space and workplace. My subjects handled all financial matters.
These shadows were part of my soul, with each shadow representing 1% of my soul.
Though they were as intelligent as I was, they lacked emotions and had short tempers. If someone refused to hand over shares or any other problem arose, they simply killed the person and the next generation of their victim.
Chances of collaboration rejection were negligible since everyone wanted to join the Caraxes Group, which controlled 60% of the world's economy.
Only the higher-ups of the group and a few others knew my identity as the head of Caraxes, and revealing that a fourteen-year-old child was running the group would likely cause people to lose trust.
While that's not the case for the few people who know me since the number is less there will be no problem in executing someone who loses his interest in me.
Keeping my Identity anonymous was rather easy as the media sector now belonged to the Caraxes group, they praised an anonymous person whom they didn't know about while none of them raised a question about my Identity.
I recently returned from visiting my teacher's grave and am now awaiting the instructors who will be evaluating me and escorting me to the University located on an isolated island.
The entrance tests for the university, known as the Cypress Academy, were held a month ago, but for people in my position, the academy sends instructors for evaluation at their doorstep.
The individuals who were invited to take the entrance test for the academy came from a low to middle-class background.
The protagonist, a Korean handsome young man with red hair, had a typical story of being bullied in the past and obtaining an overpowered system.
He would engage in adult scenes with the heroines and become the conqueror of the world, eventually defeating the devil lord.
And killing the devil lord, I forgot. And face-slapping villains too.
As for the others, they merely go along with the plot, either admiring the main character or being envious of him.
It's bothersome to see women fawning over the main character just because he is strong, kind, foolish, and good-looking.
But, given the actions of their mothers, it's not entirely their fault. *chuckles*
As I was lost in my thoughts, my shadow interrupted me.
"The instructors from the academy have arrived, my lord," it said.
After a pause of five seconds, I responded telepathically, "Let them in."
The doors to the drawing room opened and a man in a black tuxedo, grey shirt, and golden academy badge entered, holding a black and golden cane in one hand.
He also wore a black hat and glasses from the 90s.
He looked more like a member of the mafia than an academy instructor. He was accompanied by two assistant teachers, dressed in black shirts and pants, with a silver academy badge on their left pockets.
I approached the man, who lowered his hat and removed his glasses, revealing a good-looking face with black hair and red eyes.
I couldn't help but think to myself, "Why can't you be the protagonist?"
We shook hands as a greeting, and he said, "Nice to meet you, Mr Hashirae."
I responded, "The pleasure is mine, Mr Miller. Please address me casually. I'm just a student under your guidance now. You can call me Kael."
Henry Miller, the Vice Principal of Cypress Academy and one of my informants, chuckled and replied, "Ha ha, always so humble, Mr Freshman. Shall we get going?"
I nodded and said, "Sure."
We headed to the lift and made our way to the roof, where a helicopter was waiting for us.
This marked the start of my days at the Academy.
