Chapter 13: Hael’s Impossible Ability!

Chapter 13: Hael's Impossible Ability!

Her loud, beastly screech rang out as Hael immediately went rigid where he stood, raising both hands into the air with a handkerchief to signify he was unarmed.

Walking towards her, this time she didn't screech, allowing him to crouch before her and examine her shoulders. He could see there was currently a pretty gigantic hole present in it, and turning to look at her chest, another hole was also present, no doubt having ripped through her heart.

There was nothing more that could be done; the alien before him was long gone already. But still, he wrapped the handkerchief around her arms, offering her what little comfort he could.

Instantly, he noticed a vein popping on her forehead from the horrific pain disappearing, and she let out a small growl of relief.

"Yes, that must have really hurt a lot," Hael mused to himself, as he noticed her suddenly jerking her head to him, her eyes flashing with intense shock...

SCREECH, GRRUU, RUUUU

The set of incoherent words rang from her mouth as Hael raised an eyebrow...

"Yes, I can understand you. Is that shocking?" he asked as he watched her disbelief.

It had to be known that one of the reasons for so much chaos and unforgiving brutality of the ongoing war was that the average Eldritch couldn't communicate with a human.

Only the very high echelon Eldritch could speak the human language, but the young man before her could speak such.

GRRUUUUU, FIRU ZUUUUU....[You're not a human!]

[A/N: Those are the words that she spoke but to avoid it being too awkward, I will be translating directly to English and enclosing it in a bracket. Hope you all forgive me for the sudden intrusion...]

"How do you know that?" He asked, his expression turning strange. Hael didn't see himself as a non-human, though he truly might have quickly sided with a force without even knowing the reason for the war's occurrence, which could have been a little bit of hasty judgment, but he was pretty sure, compared to the Eldritch who looked no different from beasts. He at least chose a family.

Slowly, he watched as she stretched out her claws, placing them on her chest, and then closed her eyes.

Silence enveloped the place for a while before she immediately snapped her eyes open, the darkness in her eyes now starting to revolve with speed, as Hael jerked back a little, breaking off the contact to his chest.

"Your heart. It is rippling with magic. A very pure magic energy, that is empowering my dark magic! Humans don't have magic at all in their bodies," she said aloud in shock as Hael touched his chest and felt nothing but its crazy pounding, which could be only due to fear.

Standing before a beast with claws enough to rip open his heart, how could he stand unflinching? Of course, he was as scared as hell.

"Wait. Your chest, it is burning," Hael pointed out as he directed her attention to her heart and truly noticed the burning smoke on it.

{What is this?} She asked confused when suddenly she felt warm hands grab onto hers and in the next seconds, her hands were placed on Hael's chest.

GROOOOWWWLLLL

An intense growl of pain escaped her lips immediately as her hands made contact with his chest, as the place in her heart began burning brightly and right before Hael's eyes, he watched as a tiny metallic object dropped from the open space, and in the next second, the flesh began gumming together.

Two minutes passed, as Hael broke off contact with his chest and collapsed on his back, heaving like a man who had run a 5000-meter marathon.

He felt weak, incredibly weak, yet he forced himself to sit up as he looked at the female Eldritch who now had the hole in her chest completely closed up. And with a curious expression on his face, he watched as she unwound the bandage that he wrapped around her left arm, and Hael's jaw dropped noticing the wound had already closed up completely.

{How did you do that?} She asked as Hael touched his beating chest with confusion in his eyes. He didn't understand at all.

Immediately, she rose back up on her feet, completely healed of her injuries, as she looked at Hael, and this time Hael could feel the swirling mass of darkness in her eyes, as she looked at him, eyes flashing in confusion.

He could sense the same emotion in her eyes when they first attacked them. The beastly emotion to kill! The intense hate, and now they were all directed towards him.

GROOOOWWWLLLL

His face changed hearing the beastly growl, and in the next second, she moved as Hael closed his eyes, yet in the next second, the incredible pain he was expecting never came, and instead, what he felt was being wrapped in an extremely cold bosom and hands, as the cold breath trickling down his neck.

{Thank you. Thank you for saving my life,}she said as Hael's heart finally resided in their breathing as he patted her back and released him from her tight grasp.

"I still don't know your name..."

{Nyx. My name is Nyx Royalworth,} she replied.

"Sounds like the name for a royal," Hael mused to himself.

"If you're not a human, then that means you have also been transported here from your world," she began as Hael gave a nod before suddenly her eyebrows furrowed as he turned to look at her in shock.

"Could it be that you were also transported here from your world?" Hael asked in shock as she gave a nod.

{Tell me when and how you end up here, and I'll tell you how we were able to survive here this long and tell you the truth about this war that the higher echelons of the Humans will never tell you...}

Nyx said sitting down cross-legged before him as Hael's eyebrows furrowed. He still didn't know if he could trust her not, and he was able to sense that, she understood that too...
