Chapter 148: Chapter 35: The Enemy's Error
"Family...." Lancelot repeated those words as Maria nodded with determination.
"Maria family with Lancelot... Mm... want!"
"Oi, Lancelot, what's with this little girl? Didn't you say she was timid... Who is this bold girl!" Evaine complained, but Lancelot stroked Maria's soft cheeks before kissing her forehead.
"Don't worry, Evaine. Maria is Maria—just a little shy and cute ice fairy." Lancelot comforted Evaine as Maria giggled with a happy smile before leaning against his chest and closing her eyes.
"Tired... nap time...." Maria muttered as Lancelot looked at Evaine, who was glaring at him—his heart began to beat faster as he realised...
She was jealous... of this little ice fairy!
"So, Evaine, does this mean you will mentor me, or should I just find someone else?" Lancelot teased as Evaine pouted and threw a pen at his forehead, causing him to wince, but Maria protected him with a layer of ice while sleeping, surprising the beauty as it flicked back at her.
"Stupid boy—of course, I will mentor you, but don't think I will go easy on you! I know you are extremely strong so I will train you so hard; you wish you had picked Merlin!" Evaine huffed as Lancelot chuckled—Maria snored lightly as she rubbed her soft, cold cheeks against his shirt.
"Good... then I will work hard to make you fall for me again!" Lancelot confessed as Evaine blushed—she coughed before typing something on her laptop, signing documents, and pushing them towards him with a red face.
"Get out... damn player...." But his hand grasped her's before she could push him away, "Let's go on a date tonight. You can choose the place, so stop being mad, okay?"
Evaine's angry face faltered before she gave a slight nod as Lancelot smiled, standing up with Maria in his arms. "Pick me up at eight?"
"Whatever... just go before I hit you."

Upon leaving the room, the little ice fairy queen fluttered her wings and danced around Lancelot's head before sitting on his shoulder as the cute Maria began to flutter, her little blue eyes filled with crystalline ice tears.
"Did Maria sleep well?" Lancelot asked with a caring tone—Maria nodded as her cute mouth opened and yawned, showing her tiny white teeth before stretching and clinging to his neck, hiding her face in his collarbone.
"Why am I in your arms?" She asked, seeming different from the girl in the office, as he gathered once again the naughty queen on his shoulder had used fairy magic to let the poor girl act as she wished in her heart.
"Mmmm, because you are a cute little ice fairy, and I was too warm."
"Oh... okay... Nn. Are you cool now?"
Lancelot chuckled, patting her adorable fluffy head as they walked towards the cafeteria—Maria was shy, but she kept her face buried in his collarbone as her fingers grasped his shirt, playing with it.
"Yeah, I'm cooler now, thank you."
Maria seemed to enjoy hearing his praise as a soft moan escaped her mouth—Lancelot tried not to laugh because she seemed to realise the dirty sound she made as she turned bright red before hiding again.
"Is it okay, you studying with Evaine with me, Maria, won't your parents be angry?" Lancelot asked curiously as Maria peeked out with a cute face before shaking her head.
"Father, not mind... Mother likes you too!" Maria seemed to be teasing Lancelot as he smirked—but he wondered why she was so confident... so he asked.
"Why?"
"Mother likes handsome guys with muscles... especially strong ones," Maria mumbled as Lancelot froze—was that true!?
He couldn't imagine the scary woman he met liking handsome young men... he always imagined her preferring burly men with bulky muscles... maybe some small guy called Harry.
Maria seemed to notice his confusion before giggling, "Mother likes pretty things despite her looks...ah and strong smells... she calls them sexy!"
Strong smell? Sexy? Lancelot frowned—what did she mean by that... shaking his head, he dropped the conversation as they entered the cafeteria and found a quiet two-seat place to enjoy their meals.
Both were pre-prepared today.
Maria seemed to prefer fish with steamed rice and carrows while Lancelot had the meal prepared by Nagisa with several layers, but when he came to the small fruit box, it made Maria's eyes sparkle...
Three small red apple bunnies...
Maria seemed to adore the apples—he could see it as she stared at the cute fruit with twinkling eyes until Lancelot offered her one. "Do you want one?"
"Nn!" Maria nodded excitedly as Lancelot stabbed one with his fork before feeding her—Maria closed her eyes happily as she ate the apple bunny while Lancelot fed her, enjoying her soft cherry lips, squishing against the metal and her cute expressions.
"Yummy...."
Maria seemed to enjoy herself as Lancelot smiled, finishing the meal before feeding her the remaining two apple bunnies—after finishing, Maria leaned forward and licked his lips with her small tongue, the sweet taste of the apple filling his mouth, shocking Lancelot as the fairy had once again vanished! She then wiped his lips and gave a satisfied smile.

Lunch didn't last long due to meeting Evaine, but today Lancelot wouldn't be rushing to Avalon due to his promise to her, and there was something else on his mind.
The people constantly following him were annoying—the people seemed to have no lives, and apart from being in Evaine's office, they watched him all the time!
"Are you going to Avalon Maria?"
"Mmm... please forget... nnn!" The moment she recovered, the fairy appeared again and seemed to enjoy using her magic now, causing Maria to become a bright red mess.
"I can't. Your tongue was so soft and tasted nice."
"Ah...." She hid her face and then ran towards the Avalon portals, looking back several times before vanishing in the distance.
That girl... Lancelot shook his head before heading to the duelling area, wondering if they would keep following him despite the risks.
Sure enough, four second-year males were following him quietly—it seemed the boys were smarter than this morning as they were just out of sight, enough to fool a human lord, but he was not a human... Lancelot grinned as he walked to the arena before entering a duelling ring and summoning his black steel sword, waiting.
Only a minute passed before four shadows entered with cautious movements—two wore strange cloaks, covering themselves, but Lancelot could tell they were skilled due to their smooth footsteps.
They carried magical swords covered in elemental magic, which was far too rare to be wielded by mere second years; they were likely the peons of someone powerful, and they also wore enchanted leather armour—looking closely, Lancelot realised these were the four guys were people who stood with Arthur most of the time.
It seemed they were very lucky today because the duelling grounds were empty, meaning he could kill them without restraint.
"Well, hello, lads, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Lancelot asked sarcastically as the leading cloaked male laughed, pulling his hood down—he was average-looking with a nasty grin on his face.
"We come seeking vengeance for Arthur—you stole that little slut from him, making him seem inferior, and we cannot allow it!" His sneer was disgusting as Lancelot noticed his aura was similar to the monster beast from the other day—they seemed to have got hold of some power from the dark side, which made Lancelot smirk.
They are not Arthur's men—someone else is making it seem like they are!
Who is my hidden enemy!?
"Oh, sorry, but I don't know of any slutty girls, but I will crush you all in a four-on-one duel, no problem." Lancelot replied arrogantly as the four boys from the second year seemed surprised, looking at each other as their leader shouted, "Kill him—Arthur said nothing about needing to leave evidence!"
The idiots... Lancelot rolled his eyes before they infused their swords with magic—the moment they struck, he ducked and avoided the blow before swinging his blade, chopping through the first boy's armour and flesh like butter, killing him instantly—it happened in the blink of an eye, shocking the remaining three fools.
They realised they underestimated this man—their companion fell lifelessly with a wet thud before Lancelot kicked him into the other cloaked boy, knocking them both down as he spun and lopped the third male's head off.
Spraying blood-drenched Lancelot's body—the final two males panicked, trying to escape as the leader screamed in terror.
"This isn't what he said!"
"The teacher said our armour was invincible!"
Teacher? Not Arthur... Good! Teacher huh... Hahaha! This means Arthur is innocent!
Lancelot enjoyed chasing the two panicking idiots as he swung his blade, chopping one arm off as he screamed and crawled towards the gate, spraying blood everywhere before Lancelot chopped his head off, drenching the arena floor as the final cloaked male pissed himself in fear.
"P-please! Master said to kill you quietly! Don't kill me, please!" His begging pissed Lancelot off—grabbing him by the throat, Lancelot forced open his mouth with a brutal punch, breaking his jaw as the male screamed and spat out blood.
"Speak—who is your master!" Lancelot growled with a murderous gaze as the terrified boy started naming teachers, including the ones competing with Evaine... Some teachers Lancelot knew despised Evaine!
Damn... she might be in danger!
But the people named were definitely not the ones who ordered him—there was someone who used mental magic on these students, making Lancelot feel regret killing them, but it was too late as the boy's nose, lips, and ears began to bleed...
He had been cursed and would soon die.
Lancelot listened to everything, but he knew half was lies before slicing the boy's torso in half, painting the walls red as blood covered his entire body—upon leaving the arena, his flames began to burn the corpses, leaving nothing behind, not even ashes.
Rest in silence, and forgive me for not seeing the truth—I will make sure to end the one who made you into heartless dolls and toyed with your futures.
