I woke up as the Villainous Empress

Chapter 207: A Commotion III

The man scowled at Yang Ning's arrogant smile and said, "Go with her if you don't want to get beaten by me. Stop lying and just leave." He pointed at Yang Ning and asked her to leave with Xiaowei who was urging Yang Ning to go with her.

He refused to believe that, out of all the people, a weak girl like her would dare to go against him and attempt to fight him.

Even the men standing in the crowd didn't dare to speak against him. How can a girl like her dare to pick a fight with him?

Even if she were holding a slingshot, it doesn't make sense that a girl like her could shoot him with a stone from a distance and with such accuracy.

"Stop irritating me and leave immediately!" the man bellowed arrogantly, forcefully shoving Yang Ning away.

He had no patience for dealing with two women. Despite her stunning beauty, his primary focus was on teaching a harsh lesson to the woman who dared to confront him in front of everyone and question his power.

Yang Ning was taken aback by the forceful shove, causing her to stumble backward in surprise and lose her balance.

However, Xiaowei, who stood behind her, quickly grasped onto her, displaying concern in her eyes. "Miss, are you alright?" she asked worriedly.

Yang Ning's expression turned gloomy as she was pushed by the man in front of everyone.

However, upon noticing the concern in Xiaowei's eyes, she reached out and gently patted her hand, reassuring her, "I am alright. Don't worry about me."

After ensuring that Yang Ning was unharmed, Xiaowei swiftly positioned herself in front of Yang Ning, shielding her with her body.

With determination, she shouted at the man, "How dare you lay a finger on her! She is not someone you can push around so recklessly." Her words carried a strong warning, making it clear that his actions would not be tolerated.

Despite being younger and physically weaker than the man, she was determined not to let anyone harm her lady.

Yang Ning was taken aback by Xiaowei's audacious display and couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.

Despite sensing Xiaowei's inner trembling and genuine fear triggered by the man's imposing stature and overpowering presence, Yang Ning greatly admired Xiaowei's unwavering strength and determination to confront him.

A warm smile spread across her face as she acknowledged the genuine care and courage that Xiaowei demonstrated at that moment.

However, her smile vanished instantly as the man cruelly laughed at Xiaowei and taunted, "Oh, is that the case? Perhaps I should touch you instead." Mockingly, he reached out and touched Xiaowei's face with his repulsive hands.

A dark intensity flickered in Yang Ning's eyes, erasing any trace of playfulness. Swift as lightning, she seized the man's hand firmly before he could retract it.

She fearlessly twisted it, causing him to cry out in agony.

Initially, Yang Ning had no intention of taking things this far, but she harbored a strong aversion to seeing anyone mistreat those close to her.

She can tolerate anything but will not allow anyone to harm people who are close to her heart.

Xiaowei is one of her people now.

___

"Ah! Are you out of your mind?!" The man cried out in both pain and humiliation as Yang Ning twisted his hand. He couldn't fathom how a seemingly delicate and weak girl could exert such a painful grip on him.

"What? Are you feeling a bit of pain now?" Yang Ning asked, dripping with sarcasm.

Despite Yang Ning's comparatively weaker and delicate physicality, her past life experiences as Fang Li and a few self-defense tricks she had learned from her athlete friends suddenly became valuable assets.

The knowledge she had acquired for leisure and enjoyment now proved to be unexpectedly useful in enabling Yang Ning to handle the situation, despite her physically disadvantaged position compared to the man.

After struggling for a while, the man finally managed to release his hand from her grip.

Enraged, he angrily shouted, "You crazy bitch! Since you are so eager to meet your end, I'll grant your wish today." With aggression, he forcefully pushed Yang Ning on the shoulders and raised his hand, intending to strike her.

The crowd gasped in horror as they witnessed the escalation of physical violence between the man and the woman.

However, Yang Ning anticipated his intentions and instead of directly confronting him, she swiftly evaded his strike by ducking down, followed by delivering a powerful kick between his legs.

"Ahh! You bitch. I will kill you!" The man fell to the ground with a painful groan, curling up in a protective ball and shielding his vulnerable body part with his hands.

Yang Ning sneered at the sight of the man writhing in pain and crying on the ground.

He deserves it.

"Oh, how delightful it must be for you to savor the bitter taste of your own medicine! Since you have such a liking for bullying, it's only fair that you get a taste of it yourself," she remarked with a sarcastic tone, giving him a disdainful look.

"I'm warning you for the last time. If you value your well-being, apologize to the lady you attempted to harm and make amends to the old lady for the food you have eaten." Yang Ning asserted firmly while pointing towards the young lady and the old shopkeeper who was impressed by Yang Ning's strong aura.

The onlookers observing the intense struggle between the man and the woman were impressed by the woman's remarkable courage and her ability to hold her ground against him.

As the crowd watched, some individuals praised Yang Ning, while others expressed their joy by clapping.

This man was no stranger in the area, known for bothering and intimidating almost all the shopkeepers. People were delighted that he was finally experiencing the consequences of his actions.

As some people applauded Yang Ning for her bravery and fearlessness, others expressed disapproval of her actions, particularly her act of kicking the man in a sensitive area.

Being a lady, such behavior in public was not seen as acceptable or praiseworthy.
