I Want To Lay the Very Best!

243 – Fair Play

243 – Fair Play

The ring hit the edge of the golden-coloured bottle, but it wobbled on the table, shaking the ring off.

"Shoot," Brandy clicked her fingers. "That one was really close."

"You'll get it this time." The woman running the booth was a peppy lady with long white hair tied back in multiple ponytails. Maybe a Cinccino inheritance? It was a cute look, and she'd taken to Brandy and Morgan instantly. A nice benefit of being the new hotness. "Maybe I can give you a few tips with some encouragement."

"Oh, I'd usually go for that," Brandy grinned. "But my date loves to work things out herself."

Morgan looked at the bottles thoughtfully, spinning a ring on her finger. She didn't have as good an aim as Brandy, but she hadn't really been throwing to try to get the rings onto the bottles.  Brandy could see her working through the possibilities; skimming over the top hadn't worked, and neither had to send the rings high to drift them down. They were big enough to fit on the bottlenecks; the trick wasn't that obvious, but every time they got close, the bottle shook it off.

It wasn't a Pokémon Move. They'd ruled that out fast. All Pokémon Moves had a visual aspect. Even Morgan's wind power wasn't invisible; it left green and white trails in the air. She threw one more ring and deliberately knocked a bottle, her hand waving to match its motion as she watched it rock on the table.

"Well, while she's working it out, I'm Pillow! I saw you both at the tournament. That was a wild match!"

"It really was," Brandy grinned, "Ghost Pokémon are no joke."

"No kidding, every time we have a Full Moon, there's a bunch of Cursola who come up out of the sea, and they're an absolute riot," Pillow said, sitting on the ring table, legs kicking in the air as she watched Morgan walk around the table with the bottles on, tapping her chin. "They can knock a girl out with a kiss. The Rangers ensure nobody falls into the sea, but it's like a field of bodies by the time they're done. They're the best."

Pillow's long white ponytails. Morgan might still be working out a mystery, but Brandy had solved hers easily.

"Are you dating one?" Brandy pointed to her ponytails, "The hair matches, is all."

Pillow bit her lip and grinned. "It's a bit of a tricky relationship, but we're making it work. She's getting more and more used to coming up here. Eventually, she'll be able to stay, and we're going to try joining the Rangers. Think it'd be nice to help others have relationships with out of the way Pokémon, you know?"

"Absolutely. It's cool that you're putting in that much effort for her. She must be special." Brandy looked to Morgan, who was looking at her own hand and wobbling thoughtfully. She thought the bottles were moving unusually, which they were. They were shaking an awful lot when rings touched them, but their bottoms had to be weighted because no matter how hard they'd hit them, they never toppled. So why would they even shake at all?

She could give Morgan a hint.

"You love thick bottoms, right, Morgan?" Brandy grinned.

"My Trainer’s slowly expanding ass has been a delight. You should give it a squeeze Pillow," Morgan said, "Thick bottoms. Thick bottoms. Oh, it's not the bottles."

"You're meant to get the hint after you flirt!" Pillow laughed, but when Brandy waggled her butt at her, she took the squeeze. "Tournament Fighter ass, ooh. Cortini is going to be sad she missed a pinch of this."

"Well, take a second for her," Brandy grinned. "I used to be kind of flat if I'm honest. Like a tube. I've really grown a lot thanks to my partners."

"What has Morgan given you?" Pillow asked. "You're kind of tall. Is that her?"

"That's my mom. So far, Morgan's given me a much more devious mind," Brandy grinned as Morgan spiked a ring into the table and watched the whole thing wobble. "Speaking of which, I think she's worked it out."

"Your table is wobbly." Morgan said, "When the rings hit the bottles, the table is shaking and throwing them off."

"Wobbly tables aren't illegal," Pillow said with her nose held high. "It's not my fault; I am a poor stall owner who can't afford a good one."

"Sure, sure. Brandy, put your tongue down her throat, I'm going to win this."

While Brandy made sure Pillow couldn't object, a delightful task, Morgan took all but one of her rings in her right hand and then swept her left wing out in a big fan. The whole table creaked from the wind, the wobbly surface tipping with all the heavy-bottomed bottles. They couldn't fall off but could slide, and they all piled up on one edge of the table together. Morgan walked around to the other edge with a smug smile and started tossing rings, landing them one after another. All packed together now, they had no room to shake, no matter how wobbly the table was.

Pillow sighed happily as Brandy broke the kiss. "I didn't see that. Doesn't count."

"Really?" Morgan shrugged, "Then I guess we'll just move on."

"Wait!" Pillow squeaked, "Okay then, what prize do you two Tournament ladies want? Just one, you bankrupt me, I won't have an excuse to hang out here waiting for my girl! And I want a Murkrow kiss for it too."

"I love a hot woman collection, but I'm thinking of starting a plushy collection too." Morgan smiled as she straddled Pillow's lap. "You wouldn't happen to have a Joltik, would you?"

---

"This is silly huge," Brandy laughed as they walked hand in hand. Clearly, Pillow had taken a little bit of a shine to them because she'd passed off a Joltik Plush about the size of Brandy's head onto her. It wasn't human-shaped; there was a relatively long-running trend of drawing Pokémon to look more like animals, so the Joltik was more a fuzzy yellow ball with spider legs and big fangs. It looked so dopey, and Brandy fell a bit in love with it. "Why a Joltik?"

"I want to collect the whole gang," Morgan said as she eyed the stall prizes. "You're right, though. This is fun working out the tricks. That dart game had weighted darts that fell fast, so they'd be hard to aim. The Milk Bottle towers were filled up so they wouldn't fall easily from the beanbags. The ring toss, wobbly table. I'm learning a lot of interesting physical tricks."

"Why do you love tricks so much?" Brandy asked as they pulled up to a Water Gun game. Shoot water into the Feebas mouth to inflate the balloon and make it pop. Easy in theory and rather silly as games went. The stall owner was rather vigorously making out with a cat-eared woman with white fur that was so sleek it looked like she combed it, and a gorgeous bright red gem on her forehead. The Persian just waved at them to go ahead, and Brandy and Morgan took a gun each. They watched as the water rather pathetically dribbled out of the end. They looked at each other as they soaked the ground and laughed.

"This trick is kind of obvious." Morgan said, "How do we increase water pressure?"

"You shoot, I'll squeeze your gun's hose," Brandy said, getting a good grip on the gun's feeding hose and squeezing tight. "I used to step on the hose for Fenny when we were doing work in the garden, and she wanted to spray Scoria. You can shoot miles if you do it hard enough if it doesn't pop off the tap at the other end."

"That seems dangerous. Scoria's not someone to annoy," Morgan said as she used her now high-pressure blaster to drench the Feebas. "She seems formidable."

"She is, but Fenny gets away with it. Kind of. She'd be angry for a bit. Then their making-up would be ... " Brandy shuddered. "Noisy."

"We did notice that. I wonder if you have a little sister already. They're very enthusiastic, and it is adorable how embarrassed you are about your parents having sex," Morgan said as the Feebas inflated. The stall owner and her partner noticed what they were doing. They both rolled their eyes and went back to making out. Not even going to fight it.

"They'll let me know when it happens, and I'm fine that they have sex. I'm not weird about it. But they're so loud." Brandy groaned. "You have no idea; they'd be banging on the walls every night. I learned to be a heavy sleeper."

"I have noticed you are impossible to wake up once you nod off. We thought carrying you would jostle you awake, but all you did was drool on people."

"I don't drool!"

"You're like a faucet. The Wingull were worried you'd do it so much the sea levels would rise."

"They were not!" Brandy laughed and started squeezing and unsqueezing her hands, making Morgan's gunfire impossible-to-aim spurts. "Take it back, or you'll lose!"

Morgan turned the gun on Brandy instead, the cold water hitting her skin and making her squeal. "Morgan!"

"That's me, well spotted!" Morgan laughed, firing in quick bursts to make Brandy hop back, the water arcing and splashing her front. Brandy grabbed her own gun and returned fire or tried to. The water guns were really shitty. Luckily, she knew another way to boost them, putting her finger over the nozzle so the spray intensified and fired out at an angle, arcing it over Morgan to soak her from the tip of her hat to the bottom of her boots.

"..." Morgan's red eyes narrowed. "Come here, Brandy Joyce."

Fuck. Was she in trouble? Bad trouble, not sexy trouble?

"Finger my gun so we can win," Morgan said, wrapping her in a wet hug. "And I got you a present, too."

Brandy felt the Foul Play take hold of her, Morgan's experience mingling with her. Then Morgan dumped the soaking wet feelings onto Brandy and cackled as she writhed in her wings tight. "I'll warm us both up!"

Bad trouble and sexy trouble. She should have seen it coming, that's basically Morgan's whole theme.

"You're evil! Evil!"

"I'm about to win us a Rolycoly plushy." Morgan said, "I'm not evil. I'm a winner, and don't you forget it."

"Well, you did bond with me." Brandy grinned. "Does that make me a prize?"

"A grand prize," Morgan kissed her wet neck, letting her Foul Play slosh the feeling of the kiss back and forth between them. It almost made up for getting all the feeling of being soaked. Almost. "And one I haven't fully won yet. I have a lot more work to do before I claim you."

The balloon popped, and they claimed their Rolycoly Plushy. Morgan had more work to do, but that was one more win under her belt and one more plushy under Brandy's arm.

...

Though looking at it, why did the Rolycoly have a wheel? How'd that make sense?
