I Received System to Become Dragonborn

Chapter 662 Call To Sanity

Kale floated amidst the chaos of his battle with Erend a moment ago. Black mist coiling around him like a dying shroud. His once defiant expression now faltered under the weight of grim acceptance.

The power they have that they once believed was unmatched had proven futile against the two Dragonborn. Erend and Eccar loomed before him in their monstrous Dragon forms, towering and majestic, their auras radiating devastating power.

Their massive wings blotted out the skies, their scales shimmering with an ominous crimson and molten black glow.

Kale's breaths came in ragged gasps, each one carrying the weight of despair. He clenched his fists, dark energy pulsing erratically around him.

"This is it. If I can't defeat them, I'll take them with me. No one will claim victory today!" he thought while gritting his teeth.

Far below, the battlefield lay in ruin, scorched earth and rivers of lava painting a vivid tableau of destruction. Ash and smoke filled the air and thickening the oppressive atmosphere.

Yet amidst it all, Erend and Eccar only grew stronger, their roars echoing across the desolate landscape. Their shared rage was unspoken but they understood each other. It bound them together in perfect harmony.

The two Dragonborn turned to each other briefly, their glowing eyes locking. There was no need for words, only the primal bond of their shared fury and purpose. They moved as one, their colossal forms a blur of power as they charged toward Kale.

The skies exploded with energy as the battle reignited once more.

Erend's crimson lightning clashed with Kale's black mist, illuminating the battlefield in searing flashes of light and shadow. Eccar's molten claws tore through the air, leaving trails of destruction that forced Kale to dart and weave in desperation. Each movement of the Dragonborn was relentless and brutal but their strikes perfectly synchronized.

Kale retaliated with every ounce of strength he had left. He summoned spears of darkness, hurling them at his opponents, but they barely slowed the Dragonborn down.

Erend deflected them with a swipe of his arm, the crimson lightning wreathing his body obliterating the projectiles in mid-air. Eccar countered with a devastating swipe of his molten claws, forcing Kale to retreat further into the black mist that encased him.

The moments stretched on. Kale's energy waned with every attack while Erend and Eccar only seemed to grow stronger, their combined might an unstoppable force. Kale's body faltered, his black mist thinning and exposing him further to the Dragonborn's relentless attack.

Kale's thoughts raced, a whirlwind of regret and anger.

"I sacrificed everything! my allies, my own soul! to avenge the gods, and yet... I failed."

His dark eyes flickered with despair as he realized the truth. The power of the Dragonborn was insurmountable. They are just literal force of nature and cosmic that no mortal or god could challenge.

Eccar lunged, his molten jaws snapping shut inches from Kale, forcing him to veer wildly. Erend followed immediately, a devastating beam of crimson lightning erupting from his maw, grazing Kale's side and searing through his armor.

Kale cried out, his black mist faltering further, leaving him exposed.

The final clash was inevitable. Kale gathered the remnants of his power, his hands trembling as he condensed the black mist into a dense orb of annihilation. His last, desperate attack.

"If I'm going down, I'll take you with me!" he roared, the orb pulsing ominously in his hands. Discover hidden content at empire

Erend and Eccar roared in unison, their voices shaking the heavens. They charged together amd combined energy coalescing into a brilliant and devastating force.

Erend's crimson lightning intertwined with Eccar's molten fury, forming a massive blinding sphere of destruction.

Kale hurled his black orb, the projectile screaming through the air with the weight of his desperation. The Dragonborn countered with their combined attack, the two forces colliding mid-air in one more cataclysmic explosion.

BOOM!

The shockwave tore through the battlefield, the ground quaking as fiery winds consumed everything in their path.

As the smoke and flames began to clear, the silhouette of the Dragonborn emerged, their forms unyielding amidst the devastation. Kale, now broken, plummeted toward the scorched earth below.

His body, drained of its dark energy, struck the ground with a resounding thud, his once-mighty form now frail and powerless.

Erend and Eccar landed side by side, their glowing eyes fixed on Kale's crumpled figure. The battle was over. The last gods' avenger lay defeated and his ambition reduced to ash in the wake of the Dragonborn's overwhelming power.

For a moment, the two Dragonborn stood in silence, their ragged breaths the only sound amidst the desolation. Then, as one, they raised their heads to the sky and unleashed a triumphant roar.

The battlefield trembled as Erend and Eccar stood amidst the wreckage of their victory. Their monstrous appearances had taken on an even darker edge. Crimson lightning sparked across Erend's scales, the glow in his eyes wild and unfocused.

Eccar's molten form seemed more liquid than solid, rivers of fire coursing along his massive frame as he snarled, his breaths exhaling waves of heat that warped the air around him.

Though they stood triumphant, there was no semblance of humanity left in their gaze. Their minds teetered on the brink, consumed by the corruption of their power.

Reason and purpose had long been drowned in the roar of their victory, replaced by pure feral instincts. They had forgotten their enemies, their mission, and even each other. All that remained was the savage joy of destruction and the intoxication of their might.

Erend reared back and let out another thunderous roar, a cacophony that shook the heavens and cracked the scorched earth below. His maw opened wid and a torrent of crimson lightning burst forth carving a searing path across the desolate landscape.

Entire swathes of the battlefield were obliterated in an instant, reduced to smoldering craters and clouds of ash.

Beside him, Eccar stomped his molten claws into the ground, sending shockwaves rippling outward. Lava erupted in violent geysers, the rivers of molten rock beneath the surface now surging uncontrollably. The earth buckled and split, forming chasms that spewed fire and brimstone into the air. The battlefield was now become a living breathing inferno again. It looks like chaos born of their unrestrained power.

The two Dragonborn roared again, their voices a deafening symphony of dominance and destruction. The very skies seemed to respond, darkening with swirling clouds that crackled with crimson lightning. The corrupted pair rampaged without direction, driven by the sheer thrill of unleashing their strength.

Erend turned his focus toward the mountains in the distance, his instincts demanding that nothing remain untouched by his wrath.

He launched himself into the air, his massive wings sending shockwaves through the ground as they beat furiously. Reaching the peaks, he unleashed a combination of fire and lightning, reducing the range to rubble and flame.

Eccar remained on the ground, commanding the rivers of lava to flow outward and engulfing what little remained of the surrounding world. He raised his molten claws high and the ground itself seemed to obey his will, reshaping into towerin molten spires that erupted violently before collapsing in fiery cascades.

Their destruction was absolute. What once stood as a battlefield of a certain purpose was now a wasteland of fire, ash, and molten ruin. Yet amidst the carnage, there was no triumph in their actions and no purpose driving their power. They were consumed, utterly lost to the corruption of their strength, leaving only devastation in their wake.

But even amidst this primal frenzy, far in the distance, a faint light shimmered—dim but steady, like a beacon against the encroaching darkness.

The faint light grew brighter, its radiance piercing through the smoke and ash that blanketed the battlefield. It surged toward them, its glow undeterred by the rampant destruction around it.

Erend and Eccar paused mid-rampage, their instincts overridden by a primal reaction to the commanding presence that now approached.

"YOU FOOL!"

The voice boomed across the desolate landscape. It was deep and resonant, carrying both authority and an ancient wisdom that demanded attention. Erend and Eccar froze in place and trembling as the words cut through their fury.

From the light emerged Kaelor, the Ashen Tempest Dragon in his full Dragon form. That form was majestic and terrible, his scales a swirling mix of ashen gray and silver, glowing faintly.

His massive wings spanned the sky. His eyes bore into the two corrupted Dragonborn.

Kaelor's arrival seemed to shatter the haze clouding Erend and Eccar's minds. Their heads shook violently. They let out guttural grunts and their wild movements slowing as they looked toward the figure before them.

"I knew you two had already succumbed to this level of corruption," Kaelor continue. "But I didn't realize it had taken you this far."

The light surrounding Kaelor pulsed. It wasn't just light — it was a force of clarity that cutting through the fog of rage and destruction consuming them.

"Now, you must regain your consciousness! Do not let the corruption claim you! Think of what you love, what you want to protect not what you wanted to destroy!" Kaelor's voice thundered again, reverberating in their very souls.

The words struck a chord deep within Erend and Eccar. They quivered as flickers of memory began to surface. Erend's glowing crimson eyes dimmed slightly and images flashed in his mind: Aurdis's gentle smile, his sister Arty's and his mother's laughter, Adrien and Billy's faces, the faces of those who believed in him.

Eccar's molten gaze softened, the echoes of friendship and purpose rising amidst the torrent of power. His bond with Erend, his promise to protect the world, and the pride of standing as a Dragonborn with his brother.

They growled softly, their claws digging into the scorched ground as they wrestled with the corruption that sought to consume them. Their wild and chaotic auras began to waver. The crimson lightning and molten fury that had defined their rampage started to lose their intensity.

"You are more than this rage. You are Dragonborn, defenders of balance. Find yourselves again, or you will be lost forever."

Erend and Eccar let out deep, rumbling breaths, their colossal forms shaking under the strain of their internal battle. They looked at each other, their once-raging eyes now tinged with uncertainty and recognition.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
