Chapter 212: The one true god is bored of being omnipotent (Finale)

Minzuro took out a feather fan from his billowing clothes and started to cool himself as he looked into Felix's eyes while giving out a fox-like smile.

His eyes were boring into Felix's as he said:

"I'm sorry for troubling you like this, Felix. It's just that I had some orders from a higher-up that I needed to complete."

Felix cocked his head to the side. Wasn't he the strongest god there was in this area? What mission did he have to complete? Felix thought these people were autonomous as they fought the invaders back with their own forces instead of relying on their backing.

Seeing Felix's gaze made the man chuckle as he waved his fan and said:

"You will understand soon enough. Follow me."

Felix didn't know what to say as he looked at the other gods, who were as puzzled as he was. Most of them didn't say anything, but Biuga decided to ask on his behalf:

"Great Minzuro... why do you need Felix's presence?"

Minzuro glanced towards Biuga and gave her a small smile as he said:

"Biuga, you shouldn't ask things that aren't for your ears to hear."

Biuga's face paled as she took a few steps backward and a trickle of blood dripped from her mouth down to the ground, making a shallow sound. The other gods didn't say anything as they backed away. They knew better than to interfere in Minzuro's work.

Biuga used her arm to clear the blood dripping from her mouth, staining her white priest robe red as she took a few steps backward, and then kneeled on both legs to Minzuro while crying out:

"I'm sorry for asking, your highness!"

Felix frowned as he tried to help Biuga up. But no matter what he did. She would stay like that, kneeling there while her body was shaking from fear. It was a different type of fear compared to the one she felt against Felix.

Minzuro continued to wave with the fan, cooling himself off while glancing at Felix's expression and saying:

"Ignore her, Felix. You have won something very great for all of your work up till now. Follow me!"

Felix wasn't really a friend with her, but he did feel quite bad seeing her like this.

But he also didn't have a good reason to follow Minzuro either, so he glanced at him before asking:

"What type of reward are we talking about here? Why didn't you just tell me directly instead of acting like this?"

Minzuro shook his head as he sighed and said:

"I can't talk to you about it here. This is confidential information, and my higher-up told me that only you and I can know about it. The others cannot know."

Felix sighed as he left Biuga behind and decided to follow Minzuro. He wondered who was the one who asked Minzuro to trick him into this situation. He could sense Minzuro's strength, and even if he decided to backstab him, he wouldn't be able to kill him.

One-step and another. Felix ascended with Minzuro through the golden clouds as they left the confused gods there. Pondering on what could Felix and Minzuro talk about.

Biuga finally got up from her kneeling position as she was still shaking, the half-naked god with the eyepatch came towards her and hugged her to comfort her before saying:

"It's going to be ok."

Biuga stopped shaking as she looked towards the receding golden clouds which were disappearing into the blue sky and she wondered aloud:

"Why did Minzuro act like that..."

The others looked at each other before shaking their heads. Minzuro always acted good with all of them, but he was injured during the war, and something changed in him, as he became more serious and also paranoid.

He thought that another invasion was ready to come for them anytime. So he became a little harsher on them.

Felix appeared in a gigantic golden palace as Minzuro walked with him to the guest's hall, there they sat at a tea table and Minzuro served tea to Felix as he sighed then took one sip from the tea before saying:

"We are ready to talk now. Ask away."

"First. Tell me the reason why you have made me come here, to the divine realm."

Minzuro took another sip from the teacup and said:

"The one true God had been observing your actions since you had come to this universe."

Felix felt an explosion going his head. He had heard from Manitola about the one true God. He was the one who put the Gods here in place when they were doing what they weren't supposed to.

"You know. I'm actually quite envious of you, Felix."

"I always tried my best to get the attention of the one true God. I always did my best to become a perfect god, someone that the one true god would accept..."

"But you came along and quickly overcame my achievements with your insane growth speed. You grew so fast that the one true God couldn't help but target you instead of me in this part of the universe."

Suddenly the grip of his hand increased as the teacup in his hand broke and spilled tea all over the tea table:

"Actually, envy is not the right word... I'm jealous of you Felix, I'm extremely jealous of your powers to grow!"

He put both of his hands on the tea table as he looked into Felix's eyes, who was currently enjoying the tea that Minzuro had prepared. Seemingly not seeing that Minzuro had a breakdown in front of him.

"So what does this one true god want with me?"

Minzuro sighed as he saw not even one twitch in Felix's expression. He was just as cool as a cucumber in front of Minzuro's acting.

"I see why the one true god admires you... you are truly something."

Felix didn't say anything as he was praised by the person who previously looked like he was ready to loop off his head from his shoulders.

He just looked at him and waited for that one true God to appear

Seeing how Felix didn't want to talk with him anymore made Minzuro feel a little bit insulted But considering his previous actions, he didn't find it surprising, so he decided to not talk either.

Time passed while the duo remained there awkwardly, waiting for the one true god to appear...

A golden gate appeared at the top of the palace, and as it opened a dainty white hand appeared through it. Soon the whole body walked through the gate, and Felix could see the one true god.

A small petite face, blonde curly hair, and a white dress that covered her, blue baby eyes, and a small waist that looked like it could break if it was taken in an embrace. She was slowly drifting towards the duo as her bare foot touched the marble floor of the palace.

The one true God looked less intimidating than Felix thought.

She gave Felix and Minzuro a small smile as she said in a high pitched voice that accentuated her cuteness:

"You two didn't have a spat because of me. Right?"

Minzuro looked down as he acted like a kid which had been caught with the hand in the cookie jar, while Felix tilted his head to the side as he asked:

"Why did you want to meet me?"

The goddess smiled as she approached him and took his left hand into hers. Suddenly Felix's eyes widened as an immense amount of information traveled through his brain, making him hyperactive as he said:

"You... you..."

"Yes... I have done this because I truly admire you, an interdimensional traveler from the earth, just like me."

"I always knew that when normal beings travel through dimensions the radioactive portal energy would give them mutations, either beneficial or deadly, and just like you, I have gained an ability that made me grow to what I am today."

"But that doesn't explain why you wanted to see me..."

She giggled as she put her right hand near her mouth and said:

"I have already given you some of the more important memories that explained how I became what I am. You should understand."

Felix frowned as his bottom lip trembled while he asked:

"You want to give up on your power?"

Minzuro's eyes widened as he looked at the one true God and said:

"Why would you want to do that?"

Suddenly Minzuro disappeared from the palace altogether as the only ones left were her and Felix.

"Now that the noisy guy is gone, I want you to know that I'm just bored of this."

"Immortality might be a nice feature, but at the point when you became omnipotent and omnipresent everything you would want is a bit of rest without all of this power on your shoulders."

"Things became dull and boring, and there is a limit to my patience on how much I can look at mortals fool among themselves, even the little gods that I left to exist in the divine realm where souls go when they die became boring and stale after some million of years."

"I need someone else to take upon this job, but I didn't want someone who would half-ass do it. After all, the universe is in the hand of the one true God."

"I need someone smart, someone, who could understand me, someone with a high potential."

"I needed you, Felix."

Felix's voice came out:

"Me? But I'm not sure if I want that."

Felix was someone who wanted to live his life quietly, someone who enjoyed relaxing and eating. He didn't want to become an omnipotent god who had to protect the universe.

"Come on, Felix, everyone has a bit of power craze in them. Don't you think it would be a little sweet deal to become omnipotent and omnipresent as long as you stood in this universe?"

Felix wasn't really interested in that if he was honest with himself. He was content with what he had.

Seeing Felix's eyes made her perk down as she looked at the marble floor below and sighed:

"Please, Felix, why don't you do this to me as a favor?"

Felix shook his head as he looked at her and asked:

"Do I even know you? Am I your friend or relative? Why should I do this?"

These questions made her sigh. She knew that Felix didn't want to replace her as the one true god... was she cursed to remain the one true god until the universe would wither way or be invaded by a force stronger than what she could withstand?

Her eyes hardened as she grabbed Felix by the hand and said:

"I know that you don't want to become the one true god, but I decided that you will accept my legacy today, regardless if you want to or not!"

Felix snapped his hand out of her grasp as he said angrily:

"Do you think that if you force me, the universe will prosper under me? Don't you think that I might just throw the power to whoever jumped for it first?"

"I know that, didn't I tell you that I'm omnipresent and omnipotent? I can do whatever I want, but sometimes I like to talk it out with you inferior beings."

Suddenly Felix felt his body expand as an immense amount of energy was transferred into it, knowledge of the whole universe, of everything that existed was being fused into his memory cores, and the beautiful blonde woman in front of him was slowly withering away into dust.

Felix tried to reverse the transformation that was going to him, but he was very inexperienced when it came to Godly energy, and one of such high levels and power wasn't something that he could learn to control immediately.

A big smile appeared on the one true god's visage as she slowly transformed into motes of dust that were absorbed by an astral wind which was summoned by her, her voice traveled through Felix's continuously strengthening soul as she said:

"I'm too bored of this universe, I might as well reincarnate in another one, leaving you with all of the work, goodbye!"

Felix gritted his teeth as there was nothing he could do to her, he was going to be cursed with the unlimited power that everyone was dreaming of while all he wanted was to live a quiet life!

Felix tried to remove the power from himself and realized that he couldn't, since he gained omnipotence he also realized that the power would only be removable only after a few hundred billions of years, and only if another interdimensional traveler of high talent would come to this universe.

This made Felix fume, but what could he do? The former one true god wasn't in the jurisdiction of this universe anymore, so he couldn't do anything to her.

In the end, Felix decided to live his life on the planet with his close ones until they died...

Time passed and Felix returned to the planet in his normal body, Altraeimo was surprised seeing Felix returning so quickly, but seeing the lack of fire lotus tattoo on his forehead made him laugh as he patted Felix's shoulder and asked:

"Have you gotten what I asked you to?"

Felix nodded and opened a gate where thousands of materials from the god realm dropped to the floor, then he disappeared.

He was back at the lion tribe as he called his subordinates back, telling them to enjoy the planet and freeing them from their oaths.

This puzzled them so Marshallo decided to leave after he finished teaching Jack, while the two women wanted to continue their life with Felix.

**************

Felix looked down at his descendants from the top of the divine realm, on his one true God throne, he had lived the perfect quiet life for thousands of years until everyone he knew died then he returned to the top of the divine realm where he made his usual work to observe the descendants that came from his culmination with those two...

He sighed as hundreds of billions of years had already passed since he had ascended to the top divine throne, watching over the universe, waiting for someone to travel from another universe or dimension so he could con them into accepting this position... but all he could do for now was watch his descendants conquer the mortal universe with an iron fist... they were fierce little buggers.

Felix sighed as he once again looked up towards the exit of the universe, he had done so many times in his current reign that he didn't bother to count them anymore, it would be really nice if someone walked through that gate to give him some action... (FIN)
