Chapter 77 Arms Corporation Of Maharlika
Arlan suddenly received a notification from the mysterious app.
[Because of your intervention, one of the most wanted criminals in Maharlika was captured.]
[You can now claim your rewards.]
[Do you want to claim your rewards?]
"Rewards? Usually, I only receive one reward from these hidden missions." Arlan muttered to himself.
[Yes]
[Congratulations! You claimed 100% ownership of the Arms Corporation of Maharlika!]
[Congratulations! You claimed Black Dragon Assault Helicopter Blueprint!]
Arlan was pleasantly surprised by the two rewards. One was the largest weapon manufacturing company in Maharlika and the other was the blueprint of a highly advanced assault helicopter.
The Arms Corporation of Maharlika was worth around 3.76 billion dollars. It wasn't much compared to the other companies he claimed from the mysterious app. However, this company holds more than 90% of all arms sales and military services in Maharlika! Most of the country's weapons and equipment were also produced by this company.
'I could make use of this company to receive help from the military.' Arlan paced around his study as he thought about this.
"As for this blueprint... I wonder if the Arms Corporation of Maharlika could produce it..." The Black Dragon Assault Helicopter looked intimidating. From the complex diagrams, he could already tell that this helicopter would require advanced equipment and skilled workers to be created.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Arlan answered the call. "Hello! This Arlan Dominic Roa speaking."
"Hello, Mr. Roa! I am the Chief Executive Officer of the Arms Corporation of Maharlika, Dickoy Tuazon. I wonder if you have some time to discuss the transfer procedures with me..."
"I don't have anything to do today. Give me an address and I'll be there." Arlan answered right away.
"Great! We can meet at..."
After getting the address from Dickoy, Arlan disconnected the call and checked the time on his watch. He still have over an hour before their meeting, but the address was quite far so he had to leave immediately.
"Let's go." Arlan said to Khalon. They drove the armored Mazda CX-90. It was already 3 p.m. and the traffic was heavy in Manila so it took them more than fifty minutes to drive to the agreed location.
Upon arrival, Arlan noticed that there was a group of armed bodyguards standing outside the restaurant. They looked stern and rigid, making the other customers feel afraid.
When they saw Arlan alighting the vehicle, a muscular middle-aged man in his fifties led the group to greet him.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Roa! I'm honored to finally see you in person." This person was the man he spoke with on the phone, Dickoy Tuazon.
"You must be Mr. Tuazon. It's a pleasure to meet you." Arlan shook hands with him. Dickoy Tuazon's big hand was rough and filled with thick calluses. His grip was strong and warm.
Dickoy grinned at him and said. "Let's go inside. I've already ordered our food."
"Alright." Arlan nodded his head and followed him inside the restaurant. Khalon also followed him without saying a word.
As soon as they sat down, one of Dickoy's subordinates handed Arlan a brown long envelope.
"Mr. Roa, all the documents that need your signature are inside that envelope. We can discuss..." Dickoy explained to him the specifics of the documents while Arlan was reading them.
After signing everything, Arlan stuffed the documents inside the envelope and handed it to Dickoy's subordinate.
"Mr. Tuazon, I was wondering if the company has any capability to create an assault helicopter." Arlan asked while looking at Dickoy.
Dickoy smiled as he answered. "Mr. Roa, although we can't create advanced assault helicopters like the ones produced in USA or Russia, our company still has its blueprints of assault helicopters. In fact, almost 90% of the assault helicopters in the military are made by our company. We also received bulk purchases from Indonesia and Malaysia so you can rest assured about our production capabilities."
"Is that so? I'll show you something special. Tell me if the company could build one for me." Arlan said as he handed the blueprint of the Black Dragon Assault Helicopter to Khalon.
Khalon then walked to Dickoy's side and handed the blueprint to him.
Dickoy unrolled the blueprint and when he saw the design and characteristics of the assault helicopter, he was stunned. "This is..."
"That blueprint was created by one of my people. The reason why I bought your company was also because of this blueprint. I want to use your equipment to build this assault helicopter. Mr. Tuazon, are you confident enough to build it?" Arlan asked with a faint smile.
"Ehem!" Dickoy faked a cough when he saw Arlan's expression. The production capability of the Arms Corporation of Maharlika was among the best in Asia. However, the design drawn on the blueprint was something he had never seen before. "Mr. Roa, if you give us some time to study the blueprint..."
Before he could continue his words, Arlan muttered while shaking his head. "I cannot do that. You've seen the blueprint so you should know of its value. This assault helicopter is even more advanced than the other helicopters in the international market. It is also a lot stronger compared to others. Many people would try to obtain this blueprint so I have to be careful in handling this."
Dickoy nodded his head solemnly. He agreed with Arlan's words. "I apologize, Mr. Roa. I was too rash."
"I can let you study the blueprint, but everyone who will join the research has to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They will also be under surveillance to prevent them from leaking information about the blueprint. Of course, there are also benefits..." Arlan emphasized the importance of safety when handling the blueprint.
"You can rest assured, Mr. Roa. I'll handle this well." Dickoy Tuazon muttered confidently.
"Good. Send me the list of researchers who will join in this project." Arlan didn't trust Dickoy fully. Although he looked like a trustworthy person, Arlan wasn't foolish enough to give his full trust to someone he just met.
"I'll send it to you before the end of the day!" Dickoy replied with a smile. This project would make the company famous. Although he was no longer the owner of the company, he still felt proud to be part of this big project.
