Chapter 119 Prank Again?
While Thelma was massaging him, Arlan had to chant a religious mantra just to control his emotions.
After the session, Arlan was sweating all over his body. "You may leave first. I'll go down for dinner later." He said. He couldn't stand up because he had a hard on and he didn't want Thelma to see it.
Thelma smiled at him as she said. "Yes, boss." She then left the room.
Arlan quickly put on the bathrobe. He felt much better now that he had gotten a massage. The anxiety he felt earlier was already gone.
Arlan went downstairs after changing into his sleeping clothes. He ate dinner together with his employees.

Saturday arrived and today was his scheduled meeting with Renz De Guzman. They met in Manila Heaven Club where he last played the piano. He was already a member of the club so he didn't have to go through the registration process. He just showed them his membership card and they allowed him to get inside.
Renz De Guzman booked the best room in the club for their meeting. When he arrived, there was already an array of food and drinks on the table. However, what made him surprised was the presence of another person other than Renz. It was a middle-aged man with slicked-back hair. He looked stern because of his composed look and the lack of expression on his face.
"I'm sorry for making you guys wait." Arlan said while looking at the middle-aged man. This guy had some resemblance to Renz so he guessed that he was Renz's father.
"Mr. Roa, this is my father, Rex De Guzman. He wanted to meet you so I set up this meeting. I hope that you will forgive me for keeping it a secret." Renz muttered apologetically.
Arlan smiled at his words. "It's fine. You don't have to worry." He then took the initiative to shake hands with Rex. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. De Guzman. I've heard a lot about you."
Rex faintly smiled at him. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Roa. Please take your seat first." He muttered.
Arlan took his seat and stared at the father and son duo. He wondered what they wanted to talk about.
"Mr. Roa, first I'd like to thank you for accepting our offer. I promise that we will offer favorable treatment to your businesses once our candidate becomes the president of the country." Rex said in a calm voice.
"I wanted to meet you because I heard about your construction project in Makati. According to the reports sent by my subordinates, you abandoned the site and moved to a different location." Rex took out a folder and handed it to Arlan.
Arlan opened the folder and saw aerial images of the construction site in Makati. There were also pictures of the new construction site in Catanduanes. Arlan was impressed by the De Guzman Family's means. They actually managed to learn about the recent changes in the construction project. From the looks of it, they had moles in the Montefalco Family.
Arlan closed the folder and stared coldly at Rex. "Are you investigating me?"
Rex shook his head upon seeing Arlan's cold gaze. "You misunderstand me, Mr. Roa. We aren't investigating you. We have been investigating the Montefalco Family for many years. After all, they are one of our family's competitors. We just happen to get information about you."
Arlan's gaze softened after hearing his words. It was normal for big families to fight over businesses. "They are one of my own now. Please stop investigating them." The Montefalco Family was now working for him and it didn't feel great to know that someone is spying on him.
"That's only natural. I've already informed our agents to return." Rex nodded his head.
Arlan's lips curved upwards when he heard the word 'agent'. "So what do you want from me, Mr. De Guzman?"
Rex cleared his throat before he replied. "It's like this... Mr. Roa knows that our family is more focused on real estate business. I want to purchase the construction site you abandoned, including the materials that you left there."
Arlan leaned on his chair upon hearing this. It turns out that this guy was only interested in the site that he had abandoned. "What is your offer?" He asked. He didn't mind giving this property to the De Guzman Family.
"1 billion pesos for everything." Rex stated calmly.
Arlan furrowed his eyebrows at the offer. The materials left in the construction site should cost over half a billion pesos and if the value of the land was added, the total amount should be around 1.2 billion pesos.
Renz also frowned after hearing his father's offer. He didn't know why his father offered such a discount price to Arlan. This was no different than insulting the other party. "Dad..." He wanted to remind his father, but Rex raised his and stopped him from saying anything.
"Mr. Roa, I still have to deal with the unfinished buildings on the construction site so this amount should be..."
"Alright. You have a deal. The land and the materials for 1 billion pesos. I accept it." Arlan cut him off.
Rex was a bit surprised by his words. He was only testing Arlan, but he actually agreed to his discounted offer. The value of the property should be around 1.2 billion pesos if the materials were included.
"I'll give it to you at a discounted price as a token of my friendship." Arlan didn't know if Rex was being greedy or something.
Suddenly, Rex laughed as he said. "Hahah! I'm liking you more now, Mr. Roa! I'm sorry! I was just testing you earlier! I have already prepared the purchase agreement. Please take a look at it."
Arlan stared at him in confusion and took the documents that were handed to him. According to the documents, the De Guzman Family will pay him a total of 1.5 billion pesos for the land and the materials. He had misunderstood this stern-looking guy. It turns out that he was just testing him.
He signed the documents and handed them back to Rex while smiling sheepishly. "You father and son really love to prank people. Last time, Renz also played a prank on me."
Renz guffawed at his words.
