Su Zixi was lost in thought when suddenly a pain in her earlobe snapped her back to reality!

"Ah!" She cried out in pain, turning her head to meet He Jingyao's displeased eyes.

She suddenly felt guilty.

"Su Zixi, you were just daydreaming." His fingers touched her delicate and smooth chin, "What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing... nothing..." Su Zixi quickly denied.

"You are already my wife," he reminded her, his gaze darkening slightly, "to think of another man in my presence would make me very, very unhappy."

Su Zixi shuddered and shook her head vigorously.

"That's better." He chuckled softly, "Since you're bored, why don't we do something interesting?"

"What... mmm!" Before Su Zixi could say more than a word, her lips were sealed.

 The man finally got out of the car, having regained his calm and graceful demeanor, not a wrinkle in sight on his clothes.

He smiled at Su Zixi: "What's wrong?"

Su Zixi, uneasy, grabbed his hand: "There's someone... at your house..."

He Jingyao raised an eyebrow in surprise, looking towards the entrance, then chuckled.

"Don't worry, it's my mother," he said calmly, "Probably saw our wedding announcement in the news and came to see what her daughter-in-law looks like."

So it really was He Jingyao's mother!

That made her his mother-in-law in name!

Su Zixi became more flustered: "But... but our wedding was so rushed, Auntie must be displeased, right?"
