Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 62 Mistaken As Lovers

Zack then spent three hours roaming around his room and planning about his future actions.

Now that he had Eva and Ray's support, he could go ahead and start looking for his future team members.

Unfortunately, the arenas still had not been introduced which made him wonder why they were being delayed.

The rankings now had many players at level 20 and were getting more stable day by day. But the game developers had still not released any information about the release of arenas.

Even more than that, there were a whole lot of other things that had to be taken into account while thinking about such things.

Zack had also realized that even if he entered the noble houses, there was a chance that he would not find anything there so he just had to wait till the time the nobles set up another underground jewel shape.

'They must have realized that it was the duke who destroyed the black market and had taken the people buying the jewels are prisoners. They might not open another shop like that in the city but perhaps in areas surrounding the city.'

Zack then sighed as he realized that for the past few days, he had been overthinking too much.

The fun in playing Hikari was slowly vanishing for him as it was turning into more of a war.

And speaking of war, Zack knew about the kingdom war event that the game developers had planned.

It was the event that had rewritten the entire history of the game but sadly, Zack hadn't witnessed anything regarding the war since Ash had been dragging him through the ocean to make sure that they didn't get caught.

That was why he had no idea what would happen if the entire eastern continent battled against each other.

"Guess I will see it myself this time." He thought with a sigh before checking the time on his watch. 'Mia is probably getting ready for the day. I should do the same.'

The teenager quickly entered the bathroom and got ready in half an hour, out of which, half the time had been spent inside the bathroom.

Zack was dressed in a casual outfit and didn't look like a striking person. But when he walked out of his room and saw Mia, he realized that both of them had thought of the same dressing style.

She was wearing a black skirt that brushed the top of her knees while wearing a loose top and jacket. The temperature was pretty moderate now but the duo caught cold easily so they were ever ready to defend themselves against the cold.

If not for the brightly shining sun outside, Mia wouldn't have even worn her skirt. But since it was sunny outside, she decided that it was time her legs received some sunlight too.

"So where are we going today?" Mia asked while raising an eyebrow as Zack shrugged.

"Anywhere you want to go. I don't have any specific destination in mind." He replied as the two siblings sighed.

Both of them knew that when it came to picking places to visit, they sucked at it. They would have asked someone else for help but they were sure that Emma would be soundly sleeping while Evangeline would be busy with her work.

"So we do lucky draw?" Mia asked as an idea suddenly came to Zack's mind.

"This might not turn out to be fun but there is a place I would like to visit." He suddenly averted his gaze as Mia shrugged and nodded.

After all, it was good to go out once in a while, no matter where you went.

"Then we are going to Goldenshore beach."

As soon as she heard Zack's words, the black-haired girl froze over. She remembered the place perfectly well.

Goldenshore beach was the place where their parents had taken them to after Mia had joined the family.

It had been her first trip after being adopted and though it had been as a small child, she kept that moment in her heart.

The only thing she could remember was that she had heard the sounds of the ocean in her ears which had calmed her down a lot.

After that, they had visited the place every year on Mia and Zack's birthday. He was soon going to be eighteen years old and this time, only the two of them will visit that beach.

"Can we go there on your birthday?" Mia asked as Zack gave her a sad smile and nodded.

"Let's go to an amusement park then."

"That's much better."

"I feel like a kid…" Mia muttered as the two of them were sitting on a roller coaster.

"We are technically kids."

"True."

After a few seconds, the two of them enjoyed the roller coaster going down. In the amusement, park both of them rode many things and enjoyed themselves a bit.

"So should we go eat lunch?" Mia asked as they climbed down the Spine Crankler.

"Sure."

After having lunch, Mia wanted to have cotton candy as dessert.

"You both are a beautiful couple." The lady handing them the cotton candy said with a smile as the two siblings froze.

"We are not a couple," Zack said with a cough as the woman gasped. The siblings thought that she had finally figured it out but her next assumption was even worse.

"Damn, people do marry early on nowadays."

Mia and Zack exchanged a glance before sighing. This was not the first time that someone had thought of them to be lovers.

"We are siblings miss, not lovers," Zack said with a sigh as the woman's jaw dropped. She quickly recovered and bowed down to the duo and left the place.

After eating, they decided that they were done with the amusement park for the day and decided to visit one place they had thought of for quite some time.

They took a cab to the place and soon arrived there.

"This feels weird…" Mia muttered as she stepped out of the car beside Zack and stared at the land in front of her.

They were currently staring at the entrance of the graveyard where they had made an honorary grave for their parents.

Mia and Zack didn't believe that paying respects to a stone slab would do anything but just for formality's sake, they had decided to do it.

The black-haired boy finally took the mask off his face which he had been wearing the entire time they had been together in the amusement park since many people would have recognized him and things would have gotten out of hand.

"Shall we go ahead?" Mia asked as the two siblings moved ahead and entered the graveyard.

The graveyard was mostly empty so Zack could walk around with his real face revealed. The time was currently 6 pm and the sunlight had dimmed.

Clouds covered the sky as the wind blew throughout the entire place. But because of such situations, Mia had brought her jeans with her and she had changed into them after eating the food at the restaurant.

After walking around for a few minutes, they finally reached their parents' grave. The siblings hadn't brought any flowers so they just joined their hands for a few minutes and prayed.

But even after they were done, they kept staring at the piece of stone for a few more minutes.

"Zack, remember when you asked why do good people die soon?" Mia suddenly asked without looking at her brother.

Zack indeed remembered the words his mother had told him back then.

"When you go to a garden and are asked to pick a flower, which one would you choose?" He said out loud without looking at his sister.

"The pretty ones," Mia replied with a sigh as they then remembered the rest of the words their parents had said.

"But in the end, a person would come and take the withered flowers out too. So in the end, both good and bad people die." Zack finished as both of them finally looked at each other.

Humans took a long time to move on from a loss and everyone did it at their own pace. But in the end, all people were weighed down by loss.

"Shall we go now?" Zack asked while offering his hand to Mia. She nodded and held his hand for a few seconds.

The two siblings then left the graveyard behind to never come there again.
