Chapter 31 - 31 - Drunk
Pyeongchang-dong villa
Soo Yin is still huddled under the thick blanket. Drowning her head under the pillow because he felt dizzy. All day she had not came out of her room at all.
Knock ... knock ... knock
There was a knock on the door from outside. But Soo Yin has no intention of answering, let alone opening the door. Instead, she covered his ears with pillows even more.
Outside the room Aunt Xia was standing with a tray filled with food. She put her ear on the door but didn't hear a reply from inside, so Auntie Xia slowly opened the doorknob that was not locked.
"Miss, can I come in?" Aunt Xia asked and slowly stepped her feet to enter the room.
"Come in," Soo Yin finally said in a hoarse voice. Then opened the blanket that covered her head.
Aunt Xia put the food he bought on the nightstand. There was still some food from this morning that Auntie Xia brought, but it hasn't been touched at all.
The middle-aged woman observed around the room. It turned out that there was an empty bottle of alcohol lying on the floor beside the bed.
This morning, Aunt Xia was rushed to go to the market that she didn't have time to clean Soo Yin's room.
"Miss, get up it's already evening. Besides, you also don't seem to have eaten since morning," Aunt Xia said while shaking Soo Yin's body.
"I'm not hungry. Ahjumma can eat it all," Soo Yin said with a weak voice.
Aunt Xia felt that something was wrong with the girl. She touched her forehead with the back of her palm. It turned out that the temperature was normal, so Aunt Xia let out a sigh of relief. At first, she thought that Soo Yin had a fever.
"Are you drunk last night?" Aunt Xia asked carefully.
"Oh, I just drank a little," Soo Yin replied, then closed her eyes again.
The memory of Dae Hyun and Aeri making out in front of her eyes, makes Soo Yin's heart ache. So without thinking she drank the alcohol she found in Dae Hyun's study room.
'A little? She even finished one bottle,' Aunt Xia murmured while shaking her head.
"You better get up and clean yourself, Miss. Aren't you going to a party tonight, Miss?" Aunt Xia asked.
"Party? I won't go anywhere," Soo Yin said by slightly opened her eyes.
"You should go, Miss. Mr. Dae Hyun must be disappointed if you're not coming to the event," Aunt Xia coaxed while gently massaging Soo Yin's head. She knew that Soo Yin felt dizzy from drinking.
"Disappointed, huh? Dae Hyun is already with Aeri, so he doesn't need me. Why would I go there?" Soo Yin said, she turned to Aunt Xia with sad eyes.
"You're also his wife, Miss. You suppose to be on his side too, Miss," Aunt Xia said.
"Ugh, I am just an invisible wife." There was a sad tone when Soo Yin said it.
"But, Mr. Dae Hyun is so ...." Before Aunt Xia could finished her words, Soo Yin already cut her off.
"You better go outside cause I still want to sleep," Soo Yin said while turning the other way then closed her eyes again.
"If you don't want to go, at least you have to eat, Miss," Aunt Xia said.
"I will eat later," Soo Yin said. Actually she felt hungry, but now she was not in the mood.
Aunt Xia just shook her head at Soo Yin's attitude. She chose to leave the room carrying the empty bottle and food that she had brought this morning. It's useless to persuade Soo Yin because it doesn't seem like it will work. Better to call Dae Hyun, let her husband take care of it.
