Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1125 New Dormitory

From MC's Perspective:

Elder Iris continued the tour, showing me the various facilities of the True Elements Society with a calm and practiced air.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Every step we took seemed to unveil another layer of the society's grandeur, from the towering, rune-inscribed libraries to the bustling training grounds where mages honed their skills.

The sheer scale of the place was impressive, and I found myself trying to absorb as much as possible, though it felt like a lot to take in at once.

An hour passed before we finally made our way towards the dormitory buildings. The path was lined with well-kept gardens, the soft glow of magical lanterns lighting our way as evening began to descend.

"If you want, you can either stay in the dormitory or find a place in the main city," Elder Iris advised, her tone casual but firm. "But I suggest staying in the dormitory for now. You won't have to worry about anyone causing trouble here."

As we approached, I couldn't help but marvel at the white palace-like structure looming before us. The nameplate clearly read Male Dormitory No. 25, implying the existence of at least 24 other similar dormitories.

For a second, I don't know how to react. But the building before me. This one was enormous, easily large enough to house hundreds of students.

Its design was intricate, with elegant carvings along the archways and shimmering enchantments woven into the stone that gave it a subtle, otherworldly glow.

Elder Iris stopped at the entrance and called out. Moments later, a rotund, middle-aged man emerged. His robes, while formal, seemed slightly wrinkled, as if he had been caught off guard.

"Elder Iris, what brings you here?" the man asked, his voice a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

"This is our new student, Vincent Carey," Elder Iris introduced me with a smile. "He's joined the Special Mage Department."

At her words, the man's expression shifted immediately, eyes widening at the mention of the Special Mage Department.

I knew from my initial research that this department was revered, known for producing some of the strongest and most influential mages in the society. His surprise was understandable.

"What's your name?" the man asked, his tone now more respectful.

"Vincent Carey," I replied simply.

Elder Iris, glancing at the setting sun, seemed to realize she was running late. "I have other duties to attend to, so I'll leave you in Wizard Philip's hands," she said briskly. "Here, take this storage bracelet.

Everything you'll need is inside books, supplies, uniforms. Your ID and Internet access codes are included. And don't forget, report to the Special Mage Department tomorrow at 10 A.M. sharp. You know the way."

She handed me the bracelet with a final nod and vanished in a swirl of robes, leaving a faint trace of magic in the air.

Wizard Philip, still processing everything, snapped out of his daze as Elder Iris's parting words echoed. "Since you're officially registered, I'll check your allocated room. Follow me."

As we entered the dormitory, the spaciousness immediately hit me. The inside was far larger than the exterior suggested magic, undoubtedly.

The ceilings arched high above, adorned with softly glowing crystals, while the corridors stretched seemingly endlessly, suggesting that over 300 students could live here comfortably.

The sound of our footsteps echoed through the grand halls, but there was a strange calm, as if the magic kept the noise in check.

"Is there some sort of space expansion spell?" I wondered to myself, still in awe of the sheer magnitude of the place.

We reached his office, a small yet efficient space tucked within the dormitory. Philip consulted a floating, glowing screen likely linked to the society's magical database searching for my assigned room.

Moments later, he found it. "You've been assigned a single room. A perk of being in the Special Mage Department," he said, handing me a small, polished magic token. "This is your room key. No one else can enter except you."

I glanced at the token, noting the engraved number: Room No. 212. It confirmed my earlier suspicion that there were indeed more than 200 students housed in this single dormitory. Philip led me through winding hallways until we stopped at a heavy, ornate door with the same number etched into it.

"Here you are," he said, gesturing for me to use the token. As I held it near the door, a faint glow surrounded the token, and the door clicked open. Inside, the room was surprisingly modern and well-furnished, with a large window offering a stunning view of the magical cityscape outside. This was to be my new home for the foreseeable future.

As the door closed behind me, I took a deep breath, letting the reality of my new life sink in. The world of the True Elements Society was vast and full of wonders, but I had no illusions. Being a part of the Special Mage Department would come with its own set of challenges, and I would need to be prepared for anything.

I double-checked the lock on the door, ensuring it was securely shut before I allowed myself to relax. Still, I couldn't shake the sense of paranoia.

That witch Leola Perry had tricked me once before, and I had no intention of falling into another trap. There was always a chance someone had tampered with the room before my arrival.

Taking no chances, I activated the system embedded within my mind, letting it probe the entire space for any signs of hidden enchantments or traps. My heart raced as I waited, hoping I wouldn't find anything sinister lurking in the walls or the air.

Minutes passed, and the system finally returned its results: no warnings, no anomalies. The room was completely safe.

"Phew," I sighed, relief flooding through me as I allowed myself to breathe easier. For the first time since arriving at the dormitory, I could let my guard down.

I collapsed onto the plush, modern sofa, sinking into its soft cushions, and pulled out the storage bracelet Elder Iris had given me. Its silver surface gleamed in the soft light of the room, and I noted the intricate design engraved on it.

The symbol of the True Elements Society was beautifully rendered concentric circles, each a different color, shifting subtly like the hues of a sunset.

"Magic," I muttered under my breath. The bracelet wasn't just a sleek piece of modern tech, it was imbued with magic, its engravings softly pulsing with arcane energy. I could feel the power radiating from it.

I removed the old storage bracelet from my left wrist, its worn surface a stark contrast to the new one's polished sheen, before slipping on the new one.

This one felt different immediately, humming with advanced communication features and far more refined than my previous one. I'd have to explore its capabilities later, but for now, I wanted to inspect the contents it held.

Pouring a stream of mental power into the bracelet, I felt the engravings light up with a bright white glow, responding to my touch. The magic worked swiftly, recognizing me and imprinting my mental mark into the bracelet. It was now attuned to me and me alone.

Satisfied, I sent another pulse of mental power to access the contents. Instantly, the space inside opened up in my mind, and I was struck by how vast it was.

It was like peering into an entire warehouse, a personal vault of sorts. The first thing I saw was a neatly folded set of uniforms, bearing the same concentric-circle emblem of the society.

But it was what I found next that truly grabbed my attention.

Mana stones. And not just any mana stones—top-grade ones. A pile of them, shimmering faintly with concentrated magical energy.

"Wait a second," I whispered, pulling one of the stones closer to examine it. These were the real deal, flawlessly cut and radiating power. I couldn't believe it.

Back in my home country, these stones were incredibly rare, almost impossible to get your hands on unless you were someone of significant status or wealth. And even then, they were often of lower quality.

But here, in the True Elements Society, they were giving them out as part of my starter kit.

"Ha…ha…ha…" A small laugh escaped me, a mix of disbelief and excitement. This society was on another level entirely.

Just by being here, by having the identity of a Special Mage, I had access to resources others could only dream of. It was worth it, coming here. All the struggles, all the sacrifices, it was starting to pay off.

I knew these top-grade mana stones would enhance my training, boosting my magical abilities far beyond what I'd been able to achieve back home. And the fact that they were being provided so casually here only emphasized the power and prestige of the True Elements Society.

As I stared at the shimmering stones, my mind raced with possibilities. If this was only the beginning, what other treasures and opportunities awaited me?
