The ground buildings had mostly turned into ruins, most of which were destroyed by the Spectral Dragon Corps, and a portion were caused by the Wokou army's combined spells, which disregarded civilian lives and caused massive damage.

In the entire city, the only things undamaged were a few resource points marked by Lord Zi, aside from that were the Wokou rats hiding deep underground.

"Kulong, lead the dragons to surround the underground hideout and prepare for a surprise attack."

To avoid startling the snake in the grass, Zi Liyuan did not immediately act against the Wokou in hiding after the Spectral Dragon army had successfully eradicated the city's garrison; instead, he had the Spectral Dragons clear out the city's Wokou population.

If he had struck a death blow, there was no reason not to eradicate them completely.

He didn't want to wait a decade or two for a bunch of little devils to take revenge on his descendants.

How enormous was the aura of death and Evil Qi gathered from the deaths of over a million Wokou?

Shikigami hiding in the city's ruins were immediately swept by this outburst of negative energy, losing their ability to think and triggering their deepest evil thoughts.

In the blink of an eye, countless spectres appeared in the city that had turned to rubble.

Chilling winds gathered; the air was shrouded in death, and a layer of dark clouds enveloped the city. The next moment, countless ghostly beings emerged on the streets.

These spectres, which had gone berserk due to negative energy contamination, began a rampage regardless of target.

Of course, High-tier Undead like the Spectral Dragons naturally avoided dangerous spectres, even when they were driven insane.

Sensing the collapse of the city's entire defense system, Lord Zi heaved a sigh of relief and involuntarily curled his lips upwards.

The actual battle took place in the first layer of the underground structures, where the hiding Wokou utilized the terrain to their advantage, slowing down the Spectral Dragons' attacks.

In some areas, the Spectral Dragons couldn't fully extend their massive bony frames, and were severely hampered as a result.

In particularly narrow spaces, once a Spectral Dragon entered, it would be manipulated by the little devils, who would then start a mob assault.

What surprised Lord Zi the most was that even Kulong, the king of Spectral Dragons, was being mobbed!

Having evolved into an Epic Boss, Kulong was far more powerful than the rest of the Spectral Dragons.

And yet, the ten clusters of Fourth Order Peak life forces that Lord Zi had seen were now surrounding Kulong, constantly shifting positions and unleashing formidable power.

"To catch the bandits, first catch the king; these Wokou rats have quite a clever plan."

Too bad these idiots have no idea that the real king is far away, riding a great turtle, using his Spirit and skills to secretly check their true capabilities.
