Chapter 367 Connecting the Realm, Portal Core Amulet
In addition to providing the portal, Wen Lu also handed over a hexagonal crystal as a connector for linking the portal to the Guandu Realm.
With a brief thought, Lein took out the Portal Core Amulet from his spatial ring. He gazed at the amulet for a moment, turning it over in his hand, before finally deciding to use it.
(Portal Core Amulet) An amulet containing spatial and temporal energy that marks a precise location within the chaotic void. It serves as a beacon for multi-space portals.
- Location: Guandu Realm
[ Use ]
"Use," he murmured, his fingers touching the option displayed on the amulet.
Immediately, the hexagonal crystal given by Wen Lu floated slowly out of his hand. The object seemed alive, as if it had its own will, before shooting toward one of the five towering pillars surrounding the portal. When the crystal reached its position above the pillar, a brilliant light burst forth with extraordinary intensity, enveloping the surrounding space in a blinding white glow.
The scene before Lein changed drastically.
Lein stood silent for a moment, realizing he was now beyond the boundaries of the Divine Sky Realm's void. His body felt colossal, as though he had become an eternal observer transcending the limits of dimensions. He looked down at the Divine Sky Realm, observing every corner.
"What is this?" he murmured, confusion flashing across his face.
With curiosity, Lein focused his attention on the portal where his original body resided. He saw white energy floating above one of the portal's pillars, moving slowly like smoke guided by a gentle breeze. He tried to manipulate the energy, following his natural instincts, and was startled to find it obeyed his will, drifting in the direction he dictated.
"Don't tell me everything to connect to the Guandu Realm must be done manually," Lein thought to himself.
He turned his gaze far into the void. In the distance, almost beyond the reach of normal vision, he could faintly sense the presence of the Guandu Realm. It felt like a tiny spark in the vast sea of darkness.
"Troublesome," he muttered lightly, though there was a note of determination in his voice.
Lein began to concentrate his consciousness, guiding the white energy floating above the pillar. He wasn't entirely sure which direction to go, but the vibrations emanating from the hexagonal crystal provided clues. Each pulse he felt seemed to indicate the path toward that distant point.
His movements felt natural, though unfamiliar. His divine consciousness moved thousands of times faster in this state, gliding like an arrow released from a bow, piercing through the vast void. The path he traveled was so fast that he couldn't catch its details. Everything was just fleeting shadows, like stars left behind in the dark.
Above the void, a small boat floated gently. Its design was simple, almost like an ordinary wooden boat, except for the fact that it hovered in an impossible place. An old man sat leisurely on it, holding a fishing rod. His eyes were half-closed, as if savoring the tranquility that could only be found in this place.
"Be calm," he said softly, a faint but meaningful smile on his lips. He lightly wiggled his fishing line, waiting for something from the unseen depths. Stay connected via empire
"Ugh..."
The old man slowly lifted his head, looking in the direction of the path Lein's consciousness had taken. He seemed contemplative, his once-dim eyes now radiating a bright, indescribable light.
"So fast... from which realm?" he murmured, his tone filled with curiosity. His gaze followed the path as if he could see something invisible.
However, as the gleam in his eyes began to fade, he muttered again, "I hope my descendants don't cause trouble with him."
The old man took a deep breath, his eyes dimming once more, returning to his undisturbed calm. The fishing line in his hand continued to sway gently, as if it were his sole focus at the moment.
Meanwhile, Lein could now clearly feel the energy emanating from the Guandu Realm. The sensation was like a subtle vibration guiding his consciousness closer to its target. He pressed on, his consciousness traversing the distance at an incredible speed, until finally, a vast land came into view.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
The land was massive, hundreds of times larger than his main territory in the Divine Sky Realm. Its expanse appeared like a sea of green, with mountains rising in various places, while in the distance, a faint mist enveloped certain areas.
"How vast is this place?" Lein thought, marveling at the immense scale of the land.
As he pondered the land, the white energy he had been guiding began to move on its own. Like a small flame blown by the wind, it drifted gently, then softly merged with the land. Lein stood still, trying to comprehend what was happening, but before he could act, the energy suddenly vanished from his grasp.
When the energy disappeared, Lein's divine consciousness gradually weakened, then completely faded. Darkness enveloped his vision.
When Lein opened his eyes, he had returned to his original body in front of the portal in the Divine Sky Realm. It felt like waking up from an unreal dream, yet its impact was unmistakably clear.
"How does this system do it?" Lein thought, his brows slightly furrowed.
With ordinary power, it was impossible for his divine consciousness to move that quickly, let alone reach the Guandu Realm. In fact, he doubted anyone could achieve it without a system like this.
"There's still much to learn," he murmured, half-admitting his ignorance.
[ Congratulations, the Guandu Realm has accepted your request ]
"Accepted?" Lein murmured lightly, opening the portal panel to confirm the result.
(Multi-Space Portal) An ancient artifact that opens dimensional pathways, born from the secret art of formation. Only those with sufficiently strong soul power can control it, making it the key to infinite destinies.
- Maximum distance: 10 spaces (1 space = 1,000 trillion km)
- Power: 0 (1% / 1,000 power essence)
- Realm limit: 5 points
- Destination: (Guandu Realm)
Lein gazed at the information displayed on the portal panel. He carefully read the list of functions and limitations of the portal, trying to understand it thoroughly.
Even though the activation notification had disappeared and the destination was now available, the portal before him still looked like a lifeless structure, showing no signs of activity.
Lein stared at the portal for a moment, then without hesitation, he took out 1,000 power essence from his spatial ring. The small, glowing orbs of energy floated in his hand, shining softly like fireflies in a dark night. Carefully, he channeled the energy into the portal.
Moments later, the pillars around the portal began to light up one by one, emitting streaks of light that converged at its center. A soft sound, like the rustling of wind mixed with echoes from another dimension, began to resonate. The portal now seemed alive, ready to fulfill its function as a gateway to the Guandu Realm.
What do you think?
