First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 96 Mira’s Wrath & Megumin’s Identity

Chapter 96 Mira’s Wrath & Megumin’s Identity

"I want my daddy!" Mira cried.

"I want her daddy too!" Lusamine agreed.

"Meow." (How many different ways do you want him to tell you he doesn't like you?"

Eris sighed as she realized she'd have to spend another day putting up with Mira's tantrums.

The longer her father spent away the worse she got.

Knowing that the one you want to see is so close and yet out of reach is more frustrating than one might think.

And without her mothers to help either, Mira was virtually uncontrollable.

Luckily she seemed to like Eris so she listened to her occasionally but anyone else would find themselves with a spear of ice in their head.

Currently they were all sitting around in what had become Mira's room and the little girl once again demanded to see her father.

"I've told you Mira your daddy and mommies are undergoing a very special-"

"Mira doesn't care!" The small dragon gathered cold energy in her hands before launching a spike of ice at Eris.

The dark elf sighed before she activated a barrier spell and the attack shattered against her defense.

'This girl is such a monster… she's getting stronger everyday.'

Suddenly, the three women felt a presence at the door and all three showed visible smiles.

"Daddy!!"

Mira ran past Eris and threw open the door to reveal… her father?

Staring down at Mira was an incredibly tall man with a transcendent appearance and wrapped in a red cloak.

Mira didn't know who this man was but then she saw those two jeweled eyes that she loved so much that they shared.

"Daddy?"

"It's me Mira."

Exedra was surprised when, instead of crying and running to hug him like he'd expected, Mira simply held her arms out indicating she'd like to be picked up.

The handsome demon obliged her and stared at her curiously while lifting her up.

"I thought you'd be upset with me Mir-"

Bam!

As soon as Exedra brought her close enough, little Mira jerked her head back and delivered a full force headbutt to her father's nose.

If Exedra didn't have pain immunity it would've undoubtedly hurt a bit.

"Daddy left Mira for two whole weeks and didn't even tell her bye!! Daddy is mean!!"

Mira's face was visibly turning red and Exedra could see tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.

"I'm sorry Mira… I never intended to be gone for so long after the meeting but… I got sick and your mothers and Valerie had to nurse me back to health."

Exedra gestured to his new body and face as if you illustrate his point. "You see that I look different right? It's because they took such good care of me."

"M-Mira could've helped too!"

Exedra wondered if it would've upset Mira more if he told her there was absolutely nothing she could've done.

He knew the feeling of being helpless was not particularly enjoyable so he elected to butter her up just a bit.

"You're right. Your dad will let you help next time he is sick."

Exedra hoped with all of his heart that his bribe would work.

He hated seeing his little girl so upset with him.

Mira sniffled a bit before wiping the small tears from her eyes. "Promise?"

"I promise."

Instead of saying anything further Mira simply wrapped her arms around as much of her father as she could before laying her head on his shoulder.

"Mira is still upset."

"I'll spend the rest of my life apologizing."

"…good."

Exedra chuckled at his daughters antics before addressing the pungent smell that was permeating the room.

He turned to see Eris, Lusamine and even Megumin staring at him open mouthed.

"Y-you…" Eris began.

"Do whatever you want to me, I don't care." Lusamine offered.

"So I can punch you then?"

"N-No! W-what I mean is-"

"I know what you mean but it's not happening." Exedra rolled his eyes.

"H-how about I just watch next time you-"

"No."

His firm refusal brought Lusamine's attention to another fact that she'd previously overlooked.

This man now felt like a king.

Lusamine's body cried out for her to serve him.

His aura was the same as Belphegor's and Asmodeus' only his was considerably weaker.

How is such a thing possible?

They were not told the details of Exedra's sudden disappearance, so they could not help but wonder what exactly happened in his time away.

"What… happened to you?" Eris could not take her eyes off Exedra's face.

He was surprised that not only was the dark elf's desire stronger than Lusamine's, but they also did not seem to know why he was away.

"Asmodeus is alive. The two of you should go see Belphegor for answers."

"Truly?!"

"Don't joke even if you're his son that's!-"

"I'm not joking. Go and find him, I'll join you shortly." Exedra moved past the girls and sat on the bed and began to stroke Mira's hair, the small girl clinging to him like a koala.

Their hesitation only lasted a mere moment before they each turned tail and ran out of the room.

Exedra sat on the bed for a long time just stroking Mira's hair and enjoying her presence before she eventually fell asleep.

That seemed to be what Exedra was waiting for and he opened his mouth to speak.

"Thank you for keeping my daughter company while I was away."

Hearing no answer, Exedra turned to the other side of the room where a small black cat was staring at him.

"Are you still going to play pretend? She is asleep right now you know."

Megumin's eyes widened and her fur began to stand up.

"Yes I'm talking to you and no I'm not upset. Change back."

Megumin hopped off her perch atop a wooden desk and walked forwards until she was just a few feet in front of Exedra.

Her body was enveloped in a dark gray mist that grew and grew until it dispersed and standing in the cat's place was Audrina Sanguine.

"You.. how long have you known?" Despite her age, her voice was timid and shy as if she was afraid she was going to be scolded at any moment.

"Since I first saw you." Exedra responded as if it was obvious.

Naturally when he returned and saw his daughter carrying a cat everywhere, he of course analyzed it to see if there was anything special about her.

Imagine his surprise when he discovered his daughter was carrying around the queen of vampires.

"I was never able to discern what your intentions were, so maybe you could shed some light on that for me."

"I-I.." Audrina but her lip as if she was too embarrassed to make her motive known.

"I wanted to study you." She finally said. "I wanted to be able to learn about the man you are as well as your family so that I could hopefully win your affection and their approval."

For the first time Exedra's calm and composed expression broke as he stared at the woman in front of him with evident confusion.

"You abandoned your duties as a queen… to be a house pet… so that you could figure out how to get into my pants?"

"Y-you don't have to say it like that! A-and it's not like I left things unattended I'll have you know! My sister is in charge!"

Exedra was suddenly reminded of his boss in his old world that would push all of his work on to him so that he could go hangout in bars.

'Her poor sister.'

"I-I can tell you're thinking something unflattering!"

"It's your imagination." Exedra dismissed.

Silence rang out between the two for a while before Audrina asked the burning question.

"So… what do we do now?"
