First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 292 Mira’s Determination!

Chapter 292 Mira’s Determination!

Inside of the base of Samsara, there was a man overseeing the production of the latest batch of moon powder.

He was a human with long dark hair and piercing blue eyes that seemed to see everyone around him as something less than human.

There was a long scar running down the right side of his face that made him look unapproachable and frightening.

"It's done, boss." One man said as he gestured to the bin in front of him.

The man with a scar over his eye leaned over to carefully inspect the handiwork of his underling.

While it looked passable on the outside, other measures still needed to be taken so that he could be sure.

"Bring in the taster."

A shuffling noise followed, and then out of the corner of his eye he saw a haggard looking man with a frail body and hazy, unfocused, eyes.

One of the men pulled out a small pocket knife and scraped out a small amount of the drug on the tip of the blade.

Holding it out in front of the haggard man, he immediately opened his mouth to lick the powdery substance like it was precious.

The effect was near instantaneous and the old man's eyes rolled back into his head and he fell backwards onto the ground.

The boss gave him a hard kick to the side and upon receiving no reaction, he knew that the components had been mixed properly.

"This'll do." He said as he gestured for the man to be taken away.

"Pack it up for Tucker and Loyd to take when they get here."

"We using the wax fruits again, Viz?" One man asked.

"Of course we are, you dunce. Until we can get some city officials in our pockets we'll have to keep using this as our method of..."

Suddenly, the leader known as Viz stared up into the ceiling as if he'd noticed something odd coming from above.

"Boss?"

"Son of a bitch... Brace yourselves."

"What?"

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!

Suddenly, there was a large explosion of purple fire and a figure came bursting through the ceiling.

The young man landed gently onto the ground, and carefully analyzed the rubble around him like he was admiring his own handiwork.

"You are either very brave or very stupid."

Looking up, Apophis dragged his red eyes over the body of a man who was clearly the leader of this group.

Not only was his composure calm and unflappable, but his aura was brimming with the power of a stage three evolved.

Apophis was not intimidated by this man in the slightest, he spent time with monsters who were much more frightening than this everyday.

Reaching into his storage ring, he took out the severed head of the man he'd killed a few hours ago, and tossed it to the leader of the underground group.

The man called Viz didn't even bother to catch it, instead allowing it to roll down at his feet.

"Ah... I get it." He said in understanding.

"You're supposed to be the enforcer that they send to keep us out or something, right? Message received, you can-"

Never the one to engage in needless conversation, Apophis merely held up his hand and produced a small wisp of dark purple flame that was eerily similar to his father's.

The flame disappeared from the center of his hand, and suddenly various crates went up in smoke.

"F-Fire!"

"It's on the junk, put it out!"

"How did he do that?!"

In the brief second that Viz looked away, Apophis closed the distance between the two of them and kicked him squarely in the jaw, sending him flying.

Suddenly, four young girls dropped down from the massive hole in the ceiling, and surveyed the chaos that had already begun to unfold around them.

"No fair! Brother started without us!" Mira complained.

"He seems to have things under control, so can we go home?" Gabbrielle suddenly asked.

Thea rolled her eyes as she patted her cute sisters on thew head. "Mira, Apophis hasn't killed anyone yet so you can always go and help him."

Mira suddenly looked excited when she was her brother embroiled in combat with some human who looked to be very strong.

She immediately flexed her hands and twirled her twin daggers within her grasp. "Mira will not help, brother will help me! This kill will be mine!"

Before Thea could stop her, the young girl ran off to join her eldest brother's battle.

"Well... alright then." She said with a shrug.

Turing her attention to her remaining sister, she looked around as if she were trying to find something interesting for her to do.

"And Gabbrielle, you can..."

BANG!

Suddenly, a steel trapdoor on the other side of the room was flung open, and a swarm of men stormed out, clearly alarmed by the ensuing commotion.

"What the hell is going on?!"

"Who the fuck are they?!"

"Where's the boss?"

"Kill them, kill them now!"

Thea's eyes sparkled with an ingenious purple twinkle as she finally found a solution to her current dilemma.

"There you go, Gabbrielle. You can deal with those guys!"

"Sister... I am not a being of carnage like all of the rest of you." Gabbrielle reminded. "Battle does not interest me in the slight-"

"Why the hell is there a stupid kid here!?" One of the men yelled. "Throw her in a cage and take that ugly doll away from her!"

Gabbrielle suddenly twitched as if she couldn't believe her ancient ears.

Who was the stupid kid?

Where was the ugly doll?

Could these vulgar plebeians truly be referring to her and her beloved gift from her grandmother?

Retribution for this disrespect must be repaid in blood!!

Gabbrielle's hair began to float uncontrollably and a surprisingly large pair of wings popped out of her back.

"You apes should have taken better heed to those you were insulting. Now I will return you to the ash from which you came."

The power coming off of Gabbrielle was overbearing and terrible, alluding to the fact that her cute little appearance was no more than a facade.

And in the next moment, there was no cute little appearance.

Her body grew and aged until she was a young woman of around Thea's age, with lustrous white scales around her face.

Her vibrant and curly white hair travelled all the way down to the floor at her feet, and her horns became more wicked looking.

Dark claws sprang out of her fingertips, like three inch long recurved needles poised to rip and tear flesh.

Her red eyes burned with an unfathomable level of hate, causing her to closely resemble her birth mother.

"Sister-in-law, hold Moogi." Gabbrielle said as she handed Jasmine her doll.

"O-Oh, alright..." The phoenix was honest y having a hard time keeping up with current events.

She still hadn't been let in on all of the family secrets yet, so to see the youngest daughter suddenly resemble a young adult was eye opening.

"Thea dear, how long has she been-"

"Whole time."

"The whole time??"

"The whole time." Thea confirmed.

The two of them watched as Gabbrielle leapt into the sea of approaching men and started ripping them apart with her clawed hands.

Even though Gabbrielle had never been in a fight before, that didn't matter.

She had the memories of all of her progeny stored away within her mind, and she was learning all of it in the midst of battle.

Her amateurish technique actually contained eons worth of expertise and overwhelming superiority.

The men she was fighting against never had a chance to begin with.

"Well alright, let's go then!" Thea suddenly clapped her hands and started pulling her girlfriend towards the bunker where those men had emerged from.

"Umm, where are we going?" Jasmine asked. "Seems like your sister has things pretty much covered."

"Those guys Apophis caught said that they deal in slaves and stuff here so we're going to see if any of them want to come back to Luxuria."

"Oh.. right then."

Somehow, this event had turned into something of a community service date for the two girls.

And in all honesty... Jasmine wasn't complaining one bit.

There would be other opportunities for her to show off in front of her girlfriend and her family.

Meanwhile, Apophis and Viz were locked in a heated struggle.

After being knocked back by the prince's surprise attack, the leader of Samsara quickly recovered and drew a pair of weapons from behind his back, a spear and a shield.

Both weapons seemed to be coursing with some nasty special effects, and Apophis was admittedly very weary of them.

He drew his own weapon that he'd inherited from his father; the corrupted Shu's razor.

After having it take the form of a battle axe larger than his own body, the two began their conflict.

Viz was good, and Apophis could see why he was so confident, but he became more and more enraged as he watched his base fall into ruins.

"Why, why, why!? I already agreed to stay out of the city of you demons, so why are you doing all of this!?"

Not wasting his breath on conversation, Apophis kicked the human hard in the side, sending him stumbling backwards.

Raising his axe as if it were as light as a feather, he lowered it in a cleaving downwards motion, but it was caught by Viz's shield at the last second.

"Gotcha!"

"!"

As soon as Apophis' axe struck the bronze shield, a pulse of energy was emitted from the hunk of metal that sent the prince flying backwards.

His body crashed into a nearby wall that was already on the verge of coming down, and he was buried underneath a mountain of rubble.

"Serves you right, you fucking jackass." Viz spit on the ground in Apophis's direction as he prepared to put out the fires and save some of the merchandise.

But just before he could, the temperature suddenly became so cold that he could see his breath, and an instinctive sense of danger ran down his neck.

Turning around, he found nothing waiting for him, but that strange sense of danger he had did not go away.

Slice!

Suddenly, his legs felt weak as his hamstrings were cleanly cut, and he could now see the culprit of this assault standing behind him with twin daggers in her hands.

But... he started to wonder if he may have inhaled some moon powder on accident.

How else could he explain getting stabbed by a little girl??

"You hurt big brother! Mira will have your head!!" She roared.

"...I'm sorry, what?"

While Viz was stunned with confusion, Mira stabbed him cleanly in the femoral artery as she''d been taught, before freezing his legs in ice and flying away.

Apophis crawled out of the rubble just as his younger sister approached him, relief written all over her face.

"Brother is okay! Now we can fight together!"

"Mira, this guy is-"

BANG!

Viz had finally freed himself from Mira's icy trap, and he was now even more enraged by the wounds he had just suffered at the hands of a little girl.

"You! I will kill you both!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Brat!"

"Bitch!"

"ARGHH!!"

Viz roared in anger as he lunged forward at the pair of siblings with his weapons raised and an expression of pure hatred on his face.

Apophis quickly got over his sister's potty mouth as well as her intention to participation this battle as he readied himself for the inevitable conflict.

"Sister, follow my lead and do not act rashly, alright?"

"Right! But Mira will get the kill!"

"Does that really matter right now??"

"Yes!"

Smiling helplessly, Apophis rushed forward with his sister right on his heels.

"You will have to earn it sister! I hope you were not expecting me to give you anything for free!"

Mira smiled madly as her excitement reached a fever pitch.

She would definitely kill this guy, and then she would eat him whole!

She was going to evolve and become the strongest, and then neither her father or her mothers would ever leave her behind ever again!
