Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 2348 Making the Pill

Chapter 2348  Making the Pill

There were many secure locations around Hardrock City, created with the intention of giving privacy and removing all distractions for the Alchemists who returned after completing their first competition.

Alex entered one of these places, leaving Pearl and Momo outside, where members of the staff kept constant watch.

The room he entered had rigid walls, seemingly created from brick and mortar, and yet it was also a portable room—not unlike tents, only this one couldn't be folded.

Alex had known about such houses that could be carried along in storage bags, and from what he could tell of the room he had entered, this was no different from them.

Once this was all over, someone could just come by and scoop away the place, leaving nothing behind as if there had been nothing to begin with.

He shook away his curiosity about the room he was in and quickly sat down, focusing on the pill he needed to make.

The Grand Tranquility Pill wasn't very unique in its naming, but its ingredients were certainly the most different from what Alex had used before.

Alex hadn't even used many of the ingredients before, so he wasn't sure exactly what he was getting into. For the first time in a long time, he couldn't rely on his understanding of the ingredients at all.

He needed to rely entirely on the recipe that was given to him.

Because of the lack of ingredients, Alex didn't even have an opportunity to test out the energies that came from the ingredients that well. There was no telling yet what shape or size the particulates made from the refined ingredients were going to be.

That was to say, for this pill, he was going to have to fully rely on the fact that the Alchemy God hadn't pulled some trick within the recipe that could fail him.

'Although, I suppose I'm relying more on the book than him,' Alex thought.

He prepared the 14 ingredients before him, making sure each was in the exact amount he needed. For the ones he had extra, he put them away.

Alex had long since improved these ingredients to a point where, even if they had lost energy over time, it couldn't have been that much. They were kept in the best wooden boxes that sealed in the energy anyway. So, he needed to make no further preparations today.

He could now begin.

Memory flew out from his storage bag and landed at the center of the formation laid out within this room. Flames burned underneath Memory, and an emotion of determination flowed out from Memory through their bond.

Memory seemed to understand the seriousness of the situation as well and was ready for what needed to be done.

"Alright, let's begin."

Alex controlled the fire and its temperature, raising it to 780 degrees. Once the temperature was stable within half a second, he put in the first of the ingredients: the 8 White Ascension Flowers.

The moment they touched the metal on the inside, Alex used his Qi to move them counter-clockwise at a rate where they would cover a meter of distance in about 5 seconds.

The water in the petals slowly evaporated, and what was left began granulating. As powder, the petals needed a much higher temperature to burn, so they could be left at the bottom of the cauldron now, without worrying too much about them unless the cauldron got much hotter—which it was not.

Energy released from the powder as he worked—a neutral energy with no element stronger than the other. The energy stabilized within the cauldron, and Alex lowered the heat to about 600 degrees, where he put in the Jade Immortal Locust shells.

The 5 grams of shells were already dry enough that they didn't need much heat. Just the movement alone was enough to crumble them into powder, and the Metal energy within it mixed with the neutral energy present, slowly forming a new mixture of energy that couldn't be separated.

The Gale Immortal Rat's eyes went in next. The 5 eyes needed more time and temperature and a slower speed to fully turn them into powder, which added Wood energy into the mixture.

The Winter Heart Bamboo wood and water went in one after another, adding more Wood energy as well as Water energy.

True Mist Berry added more Water energy, while Crimson Blade Leaves added Metal energy.

Cherry Blossom Apple seeds and Immortal Pearl Oak's sap added the much-needed Earth energy, followed by Devil Skull Flower, which added Yin energy to the mix.

The Quicksilver Fox's bile was full of Fire energy, which helped counter the otherwise excessive Wood and Water energy present in the pill.

The Emerald Raven's tail feathers that came afterward also contained Wood energy, but they were added into the mixture so slowly that instead of overwhelming the overall energy combination, they empowered the Fire energy from the Quicksilver Fox's bile, creating a greater equilibrium between the many elements in the pill.

The last two remaining ingredients weren't heavy on any elements in particular.

The Seven Colored Angel Rose's stamen added almost every other energy, including a hint of Time aura to the pill. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

And then the 10 petals of the Golden Mind Chrysanthemum added the only other element that was truly lacking within the pill at this moment: Yang.

It also added one other thing, perhaps the most major of all within all of these ingredients. The Golden Mind Chrysanthemum had a large amount of spiritual energy within it as well, which was the final thing needed for a pill named the Grand Tranquility Pill.

When all the ingredients were added in the end and the powder remained at the very bottom, there was but one more thing left to do.

The energy swirled within the cauldron, aided by Memory, as the powder formed into a sphere. Once the powder took shape, the energy followed, spiraling into the pill until they found their place.

Once the powder and energy were together in a single pill, the sky rumbled, for their presence had called upon the Pill Clouds.
