Chapter 867: Chapter 867:- Nathan's Backstory



"Lady Sasha!!!" Upon encountering the Goddess of Lust, revered as the Strongest and most formidable Assassin in the world, Nathan and the others promptly bowed in her greeting.

It was normal for all Assassins in the whole world to uphold the Goddess in such a high regard. Sasha has set the bar for what an assassin could do so high that others could only helplessly look up to her.

Whatever she did, she is in a league of her own. Even the brightest and most brilliant Assassins look ordinary before her.

Lilith and Sasha have redefined what Assassins could do. In fact, every new Assassin is taught to take inspiration from the Goddess. Some Assassins even call her the Goddess of Assassins. Sasha simply nodded her head.

"Nathan, Sasha, and half of her organization will be integrated into the Shadow Guardian." Hearing this, Nathan and the other heads of the sub-division widened their eyes. Everyone in the room except Aditya and Sasha looked shocked.

Seeing their reaction, Aditya chuckled. "Don't look at me like this. I am not joking."

Hearing this, Nathan only nodded her head.

"Lady Sasha, if you are willing to join the Shadow Guardian, please take my position." Nathan was more than willing to give Sasha the position of Captain. This showed just how much he respected and admired the Goddess of Assassins.

Even Aditya was slightly stunned.

'But then again, I am not that surprised!!'

'The elves from Scott's division almost seem to worship Riya.'

"That's not necessary." Sasha was not interested in managing such a high position. One of the reasons why she loved her Assassin career is because, in between her missions, she got plenty of free time for herself. If she took Nathan's position, then she wouldn't be able to spend time with Aditya.

Nathan offered his position out of respect and admiration. In addition to Assassination skills, one must also have strong management skills, which Sasha did not have. She felt that she would only make things worse.

"Actually, I wanted Sasha to become the 3rd Sub-division's Head." The 3rd Subdivision was responsible for assassination. This was something that the Goddess was very familiar with.

"I don't mind!" Nathan immediately agreed.

"I would be more than happy to serve Lady Sasha." Said a Half-Succubus named Natasha. Natasha was the current Head of the 3rd Subdivision.

The 5 feet 6 inches tall woman looked very excited. After all, being able to work under the Goddess of Assassins is a huge honor for her. It's an opportunity of a lifetime.

Sasha did not immediately agree.

"To be honest, I won't be able to give all of my attention and time to this Sub-Division. After all, I am still the Leader of the Black Lotus Organization."

"Also, I am really bad at management stuff. In my organization, I usually leave that stuff to Alena."

"That won't be a problem. I will take care of all the management work." Natasha looked very excited about having the Goddess of Assassin in their subdivision.

"I don't think you would need to give your full time to the 3rd subdivision. As long as you complete some missions from time to time, it will be more than enough." Aditya said with a smile.

Most Assassination missions are not that hard and can be completed by 4-star Assassins in the Shadow Guardian. Aditya wanted Sasha only to take the tough Assassination missions. Otherwise, she would feel too bored completing low-level Missions.

Understanding what Aditya wanted from her, she nodded her head.

"Alright! When do I start?" She asked.

"You can start anytime you want," Aditya replied with a smirk.

Then, he sensed Amelia's presence in the Dragon Palace. It seems she just arrived.

"Sasha, I have to meet Aunt Amelia. I will see you later."

"Alright! I will stay here." Sasha wanted to know more about the people with whom she would be working. Besides, she had to personally bring half of her organization's assassins and help me successfully integrate into the Shadow Guardian.

Sasha looked at Nathan and wondered. 'He is such a good assassin, yet why was he sold as a Slave?' This question has always been in her mind, but she never found the right opportunity to ask it.

"Nathan, how did someone as skillful as you end up becoming a slave?" An Assassin of Nathan's caliber was extremely rare. He wasn't on Sasha's level but was still one in millions.

So this made her very curious as to how someone who is so skillful, yet ended up becoming a Slave.

Nathan's expression remained unchanged. Rather, it was almost impossible to tell what he was thinking, given that one of his eyes, including his forehead, was covered with his hair, and his lower face was covered by a mask all of the time. Not even Nathan's closest subordinates have seen his face.

"Well, I am an orphan."

"When I was really young, I was adopted by an Assassination organization. It wasn't just me, but many other children of my age were also adopted. Together, we were trained to be

Assassins."

Sasha nodded her head. This type of thing isn't uncommon, especially in the Dying Isle Continent. The local lords used to be very corrupt, and there were criminal gangs almost everywhere. While some people might have noticed that a few children were missing, it just didn't seem to get the attention it needed.

"Of course, not all the kids survived the cruel training. In the end, among a thousand, only close to a hundred survived. I grew up in this organization. After spending many years killing,

I became one of the top Assassins of my own organization."

"One day, I was given the mission to eliminate a woman."

"Within six months, The Black Thorn Organization had lost around 109 of its Assassins. Then, one night, your colleague and the rival organization wiped out the rest of the Black Thorn."

"Later, I heard that this colleague even tracked down the client who gave the mission to kill his girlfriend. The client turned out to be his girlfriend's step-brother. The stepbrother did not want to share their father's inheritance, so he decided to kill his step-sister."

"Everything sounds like the plot of a novel," Natasha said after Sasha finished.

"What happened to this colleague?" Dave was more interested in this colleague. He hoped to

get revenge on their boss.

"He is gone!" It was Nathan who replied.

"I tried to look for him, but after all of this, it was like he had mysteriously vanished somewhere. He is also a wanted criminal in 4 Kingdoms. But since then, there haven't been

any reports of him being seen anywhere."

"Yeah! It's like he mysteriously vanished." This whole incident had shaken all the Assassination Organizations. Many organizations brought some changes to their rules after

this incident.

Nathan felt that too much time was being wasted on his past. He decided to change the

subject.

"Lady Sasha, let me introduce you to the other Subdivision heads."

"This is Dave, the Head of First-Subdivision."

"By the way, His Highness Leo is also working under Dave."
