Chapter 177 We are different.
"Well, that's not the point because I'm here to warn you," Elena said as she walked past them and stood in front of Mykel. "It's just annoying to pretend that we know nothing," Elena continued and stared Mykel in the eye.
"What are you talking about?" Sasha asked nervously.
"About all of you knowing who we are, the characters from the Towers of Demon," Elena answered as she turned around to look at them. "The Seven Virtues that the angels chose to bring us down. The seven saviors to prevent the chaos from both us and demons," Elena added.
Sasha sighed quietly in relief because she thought that Elena was about to reveal the truth about Lucifer and other demons. She never thought Elena would keep it a secret from Anzel and the others even though they had nothing to lose by revealing it.
"You guys are so naive and stupid that it annoys me because you guys are supposed to be our archenemies, but you're all being used by those things," Elena pointed out and stared at each one of them.
"Stop the fucking nonsense! You killed my friends for fun! You guys are heartless! You guys are the ones who are being naive and used by that son of a bitch!" Anzel yelled and pointed at Mykel.
"Oh boy, you really have a death wish," Aurea said as she shook her head. "Look around you and see their faces and tell me if they're being used by him," Aurea pointed out.
Sasha and the others looked at everyone in the room and every single one of them had cold gazes at them. They were all holding back to not slaughter Anzel, and the atmosphere became so heavy that it started to make them hard to breathe.
"You only know about the original story, but not the story of what we went through. Why do you think we are all here? And how did we end up here?" Elena asked as she had been stretching her fingers and held herself back from killing Anzel. "You know what? I don't need to tell you about it. So let me tell you what's going on right now," Elena sighed and then looked at Jeanne as she nodded her head.
Jeanne threw Anzel's hand to the ground right next to Sasha and they looked at the pale and stiff hand. They wondered why Jeanne threw it at them until they saw the ring that he wore.
"Did you get that ring from a stranger?" Elena asked.
Anzel looked at it and nodded his head, but he had no idea what that was supposed to mean. Sasha suddenly grabbed the hand and removed it from the finger to examine it. She already knew what it was, but she pretended not to know it.
"Everyone in this room knew how ominous that ring is, and yet you wore it proudly like a moron," Elena said with her arms crossed. "A disciple of The Lord and yet being controlled by demonic power, how ironic," Elena scoffed.
"So what? Do you think I would believe that easily? It could be one of you who planned this and gave it to me. You could use the opportunity knowing that I would come back for Anderson and whoever did that to him was to provoke me and made me vulnerable," Anzel said as he looked at Elena.
"Wow! The mister naive and stupid suddenly became skeptical and being a smart-ass," Aurea sarcastically acted surprised. "I'm the one who killed Anderson, but I don't even care if you cry like a baby or angry like a little Chihuahua. My hobby is to kill people and that's it," Aurea explained as she looked at Anzel.
"None of us care about your feelings and we don't even find any of you useful to be manipulated in the first place," Elena pointed out. "All of you are so pathetic that we don't even see any of you as a threat. On the other hand, they find you guys useful and can be used for their own gain," Elena continued.
"You have been saying they, but who are you referring to? The Angels?" Eun Soo asked.
"Please... they're emotionless beings, a robot with no free will. Why do you think they're capable of using you? They're already being used by The Lord like tools, they're nothing but the most pathetic beings that exist. I'm talking about demons," Elena answered and looked at Eun Soo.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
None of them had no idea what Elena was talking about because they didn't even have a clue about being used. Their heads went blank and they didn't even realize the ones they were with were the ones who used them.
"It's beyond saving, huh?" Aurea asked as she chuckled and looked at Elena. "They're too stupid to be toyed around. Humanity is doomed knowing these people are their saviors," Aurea continued.
Mykel had been quiet the whole time, and he couldn't agree more with Aurea's statements. They were far worse than Asmond, and he thought he made a bad character, but there were people like those.
"I thought saving them was the right choice," Jeanne said and walked to the side. "But now I realize it doesn't even matter anymore," Jeanne sat down and looked at them.
"Every one of you has changed, especially you, Jeanne. You're supposed to be the heroine of the story, but you're totally different from the one that we know," Eun Soo said as she looked at Jeanne with disappointment. "You know that you're going to kill millions of lives! How can you be so heartless?!" Eun Soo yelled on the brink of crying.
"You see me as a character, something isn't real and think that I don't have free will. If you define me as a character, why would I have to show any empathy or sympathy toward you or those people since we are different?" Jeanne asked back and looked Eun Soo in the eye. "But that's not the point and you have no idea what all of us had been through. We are doing this to survive. After all, if we gave up now, we will disappear because we're not supposed to exist," Jeanne explained with a serious expression.
"We all here literally have an existential crisis, and we know what we are dealing with. So, killing hundreds of millions of lives in exchange for our existence, it's worth it," Lyneth said. "We are fighting the one who is supposed to be the creator of the universe, the Lord that you serve," Lyneth added.
Sasha finally understood why they went that far and brought chaos to Earth. They had no choice but to fight, and she realized that if she joined hands with Mykel, she wouldn't have to bear everything on her shoulders. They were in a similar situation as her, and she understood their struggle and the consequences of their actions.
"Humans, Gods, Demons, Angels, and The Lord. We will kill every one of them and break the chains that they put on our necks," Aurea said and looked at them. "If you think you can't stop us, then don't get in our way. We have no business with you," Aurea suggested as she poured a glass of wine.
"Whatever you're doing here, we won't cooperate. We only serve you a feast since you're all guests in our place. Now that you already got your answer, you can either enjoy the food or leave and never come back with empty hands," Elena said as she pointed at the door that had been unlocked and opened by Amaryllis.
Amaryllis looked at Luciel and the others who had come back from their little game with Lucifer and the others. She knew the outcome without even looking at the messy and worn-out dresses they wore. Although they lost the battle, none of them were angry about it because they held back and didn't show their real powers to them.
Everyone's eyes were on them, and it made Sasha and the others surprised about their condition. They wanted to know what happened, but they had a hunch that they lost a fight against Lucifer and the others. It made Anzel and the others realize they might be able to win the war against Mykel and his team. Discover hidden tales at empire
"We have no reason to be here, right? Let's leave," Anzel asked as he looked at Sasha, and he already had suspicions when it took her so long to come back from the bathroom and come back with Mykel.
Sasha nodded and then left to avoid suspicion because eyes were on her and she could feel it on her nape. She couldn't tell Mykel the whole truth, and she couldn't look at him for one last time because of that. She believed that there would be another opportunity to meet him, and at that time, she could tell him the whole truth.
"How was it? Did I do a good job this time as well?" Elena asked Mykel.
"It could have been better, but overall I'm satisfied with it," Mykel answered as he looked at her. "You need to read the atmosphere and carefully choose the right moment," Mykel added.
"Still a long way to go, huh? I have to train my speech, not just my physical body," Elena said and looked at the tattoo on her wrist. "Also, what did you two talk about back there? I hope I didn't mess it up," Elena looked at Mykel nervously.
"We will meet them again. I can get the answer by then," Mykel smiled and gently patted Elena's head. "Also, did you guys fool them?" Mykel asked Luciel and her sisters.
"We did. They have no idea, and at the same time we know how strong they are," Luciel nodded her head.
"How strong are they?" Sven asked.
"Too strong, but we have the number. When the time comes, we shouldn't have a problem to fight them. I can guarantee it," Luciel answered with confidence.
What do you think?
