“Doctor Bai, how come you’re at my house? And who is this?” Lin Yin scrutinized the man who had just entered. She couldn’t help stepping back, the young man was so tall and handsome.

“Aunt Lin, I’m on a follow-up visit. Since you’ve had major surgery, our hospital requires a home visit after a closing period to see how you’re recovering.”

Bai Jingqing couldn’t help but complain inwardly. He was dragged here by his elder brother’s phone call. He was all set to go home and rest when Beiming Han called, and he had to rush right over.

“This man is my friend. We were planning to have dinner together and discuss some matters, so I brought him along.”

“Hello there.” Beiming Han greeted Lin Yin politely.

The small living room seemed crowded because of the two tall men.

Lin Yin glanced at her daughter, who was still in shock, and said, “Qingxin, pour some tea for our guests.”

Snapping out of it, Gu Qingxin hurried over to pick up the tomato from the floor, but Beiming Han had already picked it up and handed it to her.

Gu Qingxin’s heart was about to leap out of her chest, she didn’t dare look him in the eye, afraid her mom would notice something strange. She quickly said “Thank you”.

“You’re welcome.” Beiming Han responded seriously and then turned his head away and sat there in silence, focusing straight ahead.

How could he come to her house without any consideration!

Taking a deep breath, she barely managed to compose herself and turn around to enter the kitchen. Standing by the sink, she gave her chest a pat, threw the tomato into the basin, and turned to make tea.

“Aunt Lin, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?” Bai Jingqing asked smilingly.

“Doctor Bai, it’s good that you came. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuffy in my chest, and I don’t know what is happening.” Lin Yin immediately told him about her symptoms.

“Do you have any discomfort in your head?”

“No… Since my surgery, I’ve felt fine, everything’s been good.”

“Let me take your blood pressure.” Bai Jingqing took out a sphygmomanometer from his bag and started to measure Lin Yin’s blood pressure.

Gu Qingxin came out with two cups of tea, put one in front of Bai Jingqing, and one in front of Beiming Han. Just as she was about to pull her hand back, Beiming Han suddenly reached out and touched her hand.

Gu Qingxin withdrew her hand as if she had been scalded.

Her exaggerated reaction caught the attention of Bai Jingqing and Lin Yin.

“Hot… hot… hot… it’s hot!” Gu Qingxin stuttered out an excuse, her face flushing beet-red. She quickly hid the hand that Beiming Han had touched behind her back.

“Be careful.” Lin Yin said, not paying much attention to it.

“Your blood pressure is normal.” Bai Jingqing couldn’t help but cough lightly and wail inwardly, could his brother please not blatantly flirt with somebody else’s daughter in their own house!
