Chapter 627: Chapter 302 The Legend of the Sage!_2

Fang Mu silently chanted the title of ‘sage’ in his mind a few times, then looked at Jiao Feng and asked seriously.

“Can you guarantee the authenticity of the information you just mentioned?!”

Upon hearing this, Jiao Feng quickly shook his massive snake head.

“Our Luminous Snake Clan was not the first among the Beast Controlling Forces to receive this information.”

“We, the Luminous Snake Clan, only came to understand the situation after receiving an invitation from the Xi Long Clan.”

“The Xi Long Clan would not go as far as to deceive our Luminous Snake Clan, but they may not necessarily tell us the complete truth either.”

“And they definitely did not disclose everything they knew to us!”

“So, I can only tell you everything I know, but I can’t guarantee its authenticity!”

Fang Mu nodded at this.

Jiao Feng’s words indicated his honesty, he did not make any attempts to flatter Fang Mu with assurances.

Currently, Fang Mu was clueless about the sage, but he could indeed ask Shui Miao and Qin Shao for more information in the future.

However, whenever he would ask Shui Miao and Qin Shao, they would inevitably suspect his motives.

They would gauge how much Fang Mu knew about the sage to exchange information about the sage from him.

There was a Grandmaster Creator backing Fang Mu, so he certainly couldn’t appear clueless about this information.

If Fang Mu seemed completely ignorant, it would only raise suspicions.

Relying on his ability to provide resources for the Luminous Snake Clan, Fang Mu boldly took out four chairs from the Purple Ice Crystal Ring and handed them to Shui Miao, Qin Shao, and Jin Ya.

Then, he seated himself confidently and turned to Jiao Feng.

“I’ve heard that you Beast Controlling Forces possess more information than human forces.”

“Since I have some understanding of the sage’s situation, you might as well reveal all that the Luminous Snake Clan knows about the sage.”

“As a reward, I can offer you a 90% pure Light Element Potion and four 80% pure Life Elixirs as my thank you gift.”

After finishing his statement, Fang Mu held up these five elixirs and waved it towards Jiao Feng.

Jiao Feng quickly approached Fang Mu and took the five elixirs.

Since these potions were traded to him directly by Fang Mu, Jiao Feng could keep them for himself without having to hand them over to his clan leader for distribution.

Considering the Luminous Snake Clan’s interests were taken care of, Jiao Feng was completely willing to look after his own personal interests!

After all, he had already revealed the motives behind the major Beast Controlling Forces’ visit to Rock Peak City. What harm could there be in sharing some information about the sage!?

Jiao Feng composed his thoughts and seriously said,

“The sage is the savior of the Sixth Era. It is rumored that deep in the Desolate Wilderness, there is a mysterious Spirit Cat Clan, which still worships the totem of the sage!”

Jiao Feng narrated many tales about the sage, but what struck Fang Mu the most was that the sage was the savior of the Sixth Era.

The title of ‘Era Savior’ given to a man, or more accurately, a creature, was enough to highlight his prestige during that era.

What Jiao Feng knew were just some trivial tales about the sage.

If Fang Mu really wanted to unravel the secret of the sage, he probably needed to find that Spirit Cat Clan deep inside the Desolate Wilderness who still worshipped the sage’s totem.

At present, Fang Mu was fully aware that he was not strong enough. He was not in a rush to explore the mysteries of the Beastmaster World.

The mysteries of the Beastmaster world would have to wait, at least until Fang Mu possessed formidable strength and influence before he would consider exploring them.

Fang Mu and Jiao Feng had agreed to meet at the same spot once they had finished exploring this ancient battlefield.

Jiao Feng would deliver the remaining spirit materials to him, and Fang Mu would hand the potions to Jiao Feng.

As soon as he arrived at Rock Peak City, Fang Mu purchased a phone to ensure he could keep in touch with She Wan and Lu Xiaoyin while he was out of the city.

As soon as Jiao Feng left, Fang Mu’s phone rang.

He answered the call and found it was Lu Xiaoyin.

“Master, there was a bloody conflict in the hotel where we were staying this afternoon, and two of the guests died in the conflict!”

“I booked both rooms.”

While leaving the city, Fang Mu had instructed Lu Xiaoyin to book as many rooms as possible in the hotel he was staying.

There were no other hotels around the one Fang Mu was currently residing in.

Fang Mu didn’t want to live too far away from Qin Shao and Jin Ya, as it would inconvenience them to act in sync.

The violent incident in the hotel actually worked out in their favor!

After hanging up the call, Fang Mu extended an invitation to Qin Shao and Jin Ya.

The four of them entered the city under the cover of night, and made sure they appeared battered by the journey.

They even added some spirit materials from the Undead Species Beast on their bodies.

Given the area was infested with undead creatures, opportunities to easily gather Souls of Death were infrequent.

Many forces heading to Rock Peak City would clear out Souls of Death and hoard resources through the night.

Some even gave up exploring the ancient battlefield upon seeing the arrival of wicked forces like the Evil Heart Sect, the Eternal Alchemy Association, the Ancient Genesis, and the Witch School.

They planned to hunt down a few more undead creatures and gather some Undead Species Beasts, which could be sold at a good price.

This would help recoup the expenses of this trip.

This time around when Fang Mu and Shui Miao brought Qin Shao, and Jin Ya into the city, they didn’t encounter anyone who tried to provoke them.

Fang Mu, Shui Miao, Qin Shao, and Jin Ya all entered the city discreetly.
