Chapter 24 Olivia, Don't Be Scared
Oliver Walker took a deep breath as he could relate to what Emilia must be feeling.
In order to regain her trust, he would have to first treat Olivia's condition!
After a while, Olivia was transferred to a VIP ward by the nurse. Oliver and Emilia both entered the room.
The atmosphere inside the room was cold. Oliver Walker wanted to speak to her, but Emilia was being distant and cold. She pushed him far away.
In the end, he couldn't speak at all even when he wanted to!
For now, he could only wait until their daughter woke up!
Time passed quickly, and at about 10 at night, Olivia, who looked pale and was lying on the bed, moved her fingers.
These movements were small, but they affected both their hearts!
"Olivia!"
Oliver Walker could no longer hide his joy as well. He really wanted to tell his daughter that her father stayed by her side the entire time like a soldier who became her guardian.
However, Emilia was faster, and she held Olivia's hands.
She used to be a strong woman!
When Davis placed the ban, she did not allow it to break her!
Life had not caused her to lower her dignity!
But now, she had to let it all go!
Her daughter, who was in her sick bed, was her only solace.
Due to the medication, Olivia who was already asleep for 6 hours did not seem to be conscious yet.
This caused both Oliver and Emilia to be disappointed.
Inside the room, it got so quiet that they could only hear each other's heartbeat.
"Daddy…..daddy..."
Suddenly, Olivia, who was still asleep, started moving her lips. Her voice was soft that even Emilia, who was by her bed, and Oliver, who stood close by, did not hear her clearly.
But, both of them knew that their daughter spoke.
Emilia worriedly asked, "Olivia, what is it that you want?
"You can tell mummy about it, and once you wake up, I'll….I'll buy the fluffy lamb plushie you wanted!
"This is all my fault. I can't even buy the toys that you like.
"I..."
As her memories flashed back, she felt incredibly heartbroken and guilty.
Back then, Olivia was only 5 years old. She stood in front of a toy store and looked at a huge plushie. Her eyes were filled with envy.
She wanted to satisfy her little girl. The plushie wasn't a big one, but it cost 50 dollars.
She remembered clearly that she didn't have enough money. Even with all the pennies she had, she only had 39 dollars in total.
When she took out all of her money and placed them in her palms, she would never forget how the people were staring at her with contempt.
But, the sweet girl Olivia said something that she would remember her entire life, "Mummy, I don't really want it. I just wanted to look at it!"
That was Olivia's fifth birthday!
What would a 5-year-old child understand?
Olivia couldn't even speak properly, but this broke Emilia into tears!
This was the reason why she didn't want to forgive the man standing beside her.
As for Olivia Walker, he noted down how Olivia wanted a fluffy lamb plushie in his heart.
He wanted his daughter to have the plushie that she liked tomorrow morning as soon as she woke up!
"Daddy...."
"I want…..I want daddy..."
Olivia, who was on her sick bed, sounded a little louder, but her consciousness was still a little blurry.
Oliver Walker's heart was in his mouth.
He felt incredibly guilty as he repented in a trembling voice, "Daddy's here. Daddy will always be here, and I will never leave again. Don't be scared, Olivia!"
