Chapter 486: What is thy Path?
Chapter 486: What is thy Path?
Even in this Era Cultivation Rooms existed. In fact they were much more effective in collecting and trapping spirit qi. Wang Ling's formation could not match the times, his method of spirit isolation, however, was unmatched.
Inside a room, there was heavy mist going around Wang Ling. The mist glowed ever so often as spirit qi actually materialized to the immense amount of spirit qi inside the room. With the help of Angel whose spirit qi manipulation reached an unprecedented level, Wang Ling did not have to mind any leakage of qi. He was being very efficient.
Right now, Wang Ling was trying his absolute best to solidify his very existence.
Wang Ling had already stepped into the realm of the ascendents. He was on the first step, Immortal Nirvana. In this realm one must have their souls welcome the spirit qi surrounding them, allowing the cultivator to freely command their qi.
In this realm, they would be able to gather qi around in the figure they form when they reach Immortal Nirvana the Nirvanic Nucleus.
After the manifestation on the outside comes the manifestation within. The spirit would gather.
This Era's cultivation follows the line of reforging one's soul. Wang Ling did not have to do such a thing, because of his special circumstances, but for one to severe one's mortality and reforge anew their very cores.
When that happens the veins and the flow of qi would change, their meridians would enlarge and then come alive. But Wang Ling experienced what every other Peak Cultivator and those of the Primordial Races of the past era experienced, he jumped Mortality Severance because they were already Immortal and Gods long before the upheaval of the Universe.
This led to Wang Ling breaking the barrier with ease, but like every other cultivator of the same situation, he still had to create a Nirvanic Nucleus that would act as the seed for the future of his cultivation path.
The Nirvanic Nucleus was similar to that of a Nascent Soul, it was the culmination of one's current self. But unlike the Nascent Soul, the Nirvanic Nucleus would be fed with the laws and the Nirvanic Nucleus would be born as a Ruler Mandate that would later become a King Mandate, and finally an Emperor Mandate. It was also connected to how one could create the domain that commands the laws of space.
It would change shape freely with every ascension and the law fed into it would greatly affect the changes. If one pursues the law of flames, then the mandate could be scorch, and the soul becomes a Scorched Soul.
Of course, due to this fact, the cultivation path would greatly change.
The cultivation path laid out by the predecessors would only remain as guidelines and the path to their ascension would be theirs to take. Only the cultivation ranking label would be retained until the very end, and even then, when they cross a certain threshold, cultivators would even be able to break free from the bounds of the regular Cultivation Path.
Worst comes to worst, if the Law and the mandate it develops was not suited for the body, records of qi deviation had been recorded.
As recently as a hundred years ago, the Sect Master of the Death Zither Sound Sect passed away while attempting to reach Heaven and Hell Harmony Realm, the last of the Nine cultivation Realms. He failed to achieve divine harmony of the Law, Mandate, Soul, and Body resulting in the destruction of his body and soul from his own law and mandate.
Experts die from their recklessness and wrong pursuit of a path unsuited for them. But, Wang Ling did not have to worry about such a thing for his path was not dictated by any cultivation technique crafted by any Sect or anyone.
He already abandoned the Nine Heaven Upheaval Scripture, the Hell Dominator Body, and everything else. Right now, Wang Ling followed a path not led by anyone, not even the All-Father, he treads the path of his own making.
This path was born from the first bread he stole to keep on living when he was five in his first life to every breath, he takes at this moment.
[The soul is my essence in this path, and as it is the essence it is the start and the core. It is everything, it is me.] Wang Ling began reciting his own interpretation of the cultivation path to himself, [The path of cultivation is my own, the strength I wield, evolving, the laws were created by the Universe, it is not fully uncontrollable, it is too flimsy. It can be grasped, but cannot be molded.]
Wang Ling took a deep breath, his pores opened and his veins made way for the spirit qi that began to be sucked into his body. The flames instinctively ignited; the hidden veins of the phoenix also began to circulate qi.
The hidden veins as long as the necessary starter appears could be ignited without a problem. From what Wang Ling understood, the hidden veins of the Phoenix lineage were only limited to the activation of the bloodline power due to it being dormant for so long.
But after experimenting, he finally saw its potential as another way to enhance his qi processing. From what learned from studying Qinyang, Wang Ling knew it was a possibility. If he utilizes his Overlord Meridians and hidden paths, then it would be possible to double his efficiency, lo and behold, his theory was correct.
[This new finding is similar to my own path. A never sense of improvement. Like my original path, I would always be seeking to improve my cultivation method accepted all kinds of power to accommodate everything.
[My second path is with the Supreme Spirit Qi, the power that accepts opposing power. It is the power that allowed me to pursue different paths. Its power is different from where I started, yet its essence is never diverging from the first.
[Now, my path relies on me absorbing knowledge to increase my efficiency in regaining my powers, and at the center of it all is the soul that is the Origin Essence, the start of it all. The power that started it all is my path, what I have is the beginning, and my path is accepting everything. Then, my path is Origin itself. And the law I tread is my own.]
Wang Ling already understood his path, but he solidified them with his thoughts. The qi moved, and before long, a Nirvanic Nucleus formed.
Golden appeared, then it turned blue, but as soon as it entered his body every color that could dye the color of Wang Ling's soul disappeared. Only pure qi appeared. It was not supreme spirit qi; no such thing exist in this Era.
The Nucleus was in the form of a child, seated cross-legged. The boy had its eyes closed silently thinking, silently contemplating.
This boy was Wang Ling, his first form, his first life.
The boy was his own interpretation of his path. A child seeking to satiate his own path.
A translucent boy, filled with nothing, yet with everything.
The soul was without color, solitary, yet all-reaching without boundaries. A greedy boy who wishes to get everything.
This soul was beyond anything this Era could comprehend. This soul had no law, it had no mandate, it was empty, yet it was not.
Because the fact was that despite its emptiness was filled to the brim with his own desires. His own greed.
He needed to call upon any law because Wang Ling was the Law.
