Chapter 236: Battle in the Bay

Chapter 236: Battle in the Bay

Vega and Jacek charged at one another meeting in the middle of the carrier deck runway. The two warriors exchanged punches, each dodging time and time again until Vega launched a lightning-fast punch making contact with Jacek’s face.

Vega’s attack landed squarely on Jacek’s left cheek; however, the impact hadn’t caused Jacek to move even an inch as he stood firm staring at Vega with a menacing look of anger. Vega grit his teeth and braced for Jacek’s counterattack.

After a moment of hesitation at the idea of using all his power to pummel his best friend, Jacek finally let loose. He powered up and launched a volley of punches that were so fast Vega could not block them and so strong that it brought Vega to his knees.

Vega fell to both knees before Jacek who completely outmatched him in his powered-up state. Jacek frowned as he looked down at his long-time friend, “You have grown weak under the spell of Constance Khan.”

Jacek then coated his right leg in a powerful layer of ki and kicked Vega square in the chest launching him back 20 yards before landing on the carrier deck and skidding another 10 yards on the deck surface.

After finally coming to a stop, Vega stood up. His chest has been skinned raw down to the muscle from skidding along the rough surface of the carrier deck.

Jacek shouted at Vega from afar, “You are weak, Vega! I could finish you at any moment if I pleased! Find the energy to resist her hold on you!”

Vega looked to Jacek with a curiously confident smile, “A dangerous reality to expose to one’s opponent.”

Jacek tilted his head in confusion and raised his arms expressing his confusion to Vega who continued, “For a dead man has nothing left to lose!”

Vega then began to aimlessly fire ki blasts at the remaining ships in the fleet and the jets overhead. The quick succession of smaller blasts downed several jets flying overhead and damaged the remaining ships with significant casualties.

Realizing his reluctance to destroy Vega immediately had resulted in even further loss of life to his men, Jacek sprinted towards Vega in a fury of anger. With every second that passed, Vega fired off more blasts, killing more men, forcing Jacek to rush forth recklessly.

Vega anticipated such a reaction, and before Jacek could reach him, Vega fired a large, powerful beam of ki and swung it down across the deck splitting the carrier into two separate halves. The fissure split directly underneath Jacek’s feet causing him to lose his footing and fall into the abyss as ocean rushed in from all sides swallowing him.

Vega stepped to the ledge with a smile as he watched the shadow of Jacek beneath the water’s surface struggle to stay afloat against the roaring ocean and fiery debris.

He raised his hands overhead with open palms, one over the other, and then quickly swung them down firing another ki beam with all of his might in attempt to push Jacek further and further below the water’s surface drowning him in the rushing waves of the ocean.

Vega held the beam firmly in place feeling resistance on the other end as Jacek attenuated the beam’s progress as it pushed him further underwater.

Vega yelled out, “I may not be able to destroy you with my power alone, but not even you can survive an opponent as mighty as the ocean!”

Jacek quickly recognized Vega’s plan to drown him at the bottom of the ocean; however, he wasn’t worried in the least. The bay was rather shallow, so he wouldn’t be pushed down to an insurmountable depth. Furthermore, with his conditioning, he could hold his breath for many minutes before he need panic.

He allowed the ki beam to push him down to the ocean floor before fighting back in earnest. He then held it in place waiting for Vega to grow confident in his plan.

Over the next couple of minutes, Jacek felt a gradual but consistent attenuation in power of Vega’s ki beam forcing him down to the ocean floor until at last, Jacek decided to take action. He held the incoming beam with one hand while creating a mighty ki blast of his own in his other hand.

He then fired his ki blast directly upward into the beam and pushed it with all of his might forcing Vega’s beam back upwards towards the ocean surface with speed.

Vega looked down from the edge of the bisected carrier to see the deep blue water of the ocean quickly turning a bright and glowing white underneath the surface. Vega immediately realized his attack had been overwhelmed, and he also knew Jacek’s counterattack would obliterate the half of the carrier he currently stood on.

Vega abandoned his position allowing Jacek’s attack to continue unimpeded as he jumped to the other half of the carrier out of harm’s way.

As he did, Jacek’s blast made contact with the carrier causing it to explode creating a massive cloud of black smoke and fire.

The audience in the coliseum awed in delight at the battle in the bay, and Vega found himself on the deck of the intact half of the carrier. He heard a ringing in his ears, and he took a minute to regain full awareness of the situation as the blast left him disoriented.

However, before he could regain complete situational awareness, a soaking wet Jacek appeared at Vega’s side.

Jacek yelled down at Vega, “You are not General Vega Magnus! You are a tool of the enemy!”

He then kicked Vega’s body to the side of the carrier which had started to take on critical amounts of water amidst the damage it took from the various blasts.

Jacek kicked Vega again landing him directly on the edge of the deck with his head hanging over the ledge. He then put his boot to Vega’s neck and yelled again, “If you’re still in there Vega, I am sorry. I am sorry for not saving you while I could. I am sorry for failing you.”

The carrier had begun to tilt and list at a severe angle with water rushing over Vega’s body as Jacek stood over him. Vega tried to stand up and attack Jacek; however, Jacek yelled in a rage and grabbed Vega’s head palming his skull from the top.

He then held Vega underwater by the grip of his skull. Jacek bowed his head as he kneeled while holding Vega underwater, “Forgive me, my best friend. Forgive me.”

He then charged up a terrifying amount of ki, and fired a scorching beam of bright ki towards the ocean floor obliterating Vega’s body until his grip of Vega’s skull went limp as the cranium disintegrated right from underneath his hand.

Jacek remained in a kneeling position for a moment and wiped away a tear running down his face as he mourned the death of Vega.

However, his mourning was short lived as a powerful kick sent him face first onto the rugged deck of the ship. He faceplanted into the deck with such force that the deck gave way as his face smashed against it tearing the skin of his cheek down to the bone.

He quickly turned to see Xenia standing over him, “If you’re here to kill me then just be done with it.”

Xenia laughed, “Kill you? I’m much more inclined to fuck you Lord Heraklinos. Where did you gain such newfound, and dare I say, sexy power?”

He spit at her feet, “I said kill me!”

She smiled and bloodbent his cock into a rock-hard erection, “Come now Jacek, you know killing and fucking aren’t mutually exclusive for me. Quite the contrary, I enjoy the two as a pair.”

She bit her lip before continuing, “It is my wedding day. I offer you the chance to challenge Nero for me if you so desire.”

Jacek began to laugh, “You would throw away your precious Nero so readily? Your marriage is sure to last, Xenia.”

She bloodbent his throat shut and sternly said, “Very well. I’ve had you before anyways, Jacek. You weren’t good back then, and I know you aren’t any better after sharing a bed with Erika for so long. I did you a favor by killing her.”

Jacek tried to retort in anger; however, his throat was cinched shut. Xenia then said, “Don’t be so sure that I am throwing away my Nero. Even with your newfound power, I put my money on a BloodStar Immortal over a Heraklinos lord. And for your insolence, I will have Nero destroy you for the pleasure of proving my point.”

She bloodbent Jacek from the ground to stand in front of her as she said, “But not today. You aren’t dying today. I like to play. I want you to live through the despair of being helpless to stop me. I want you to go home to your father and train with him. I want the world to watch the BloodStar Empire defeat Master and Lord Heraklinos at their most powerful. They will watch you die at my feet leaving no question who the superior power in this world is.”

As the water continued to overtake the sinking carrier, Xenia’s long dress became soaked with seawater inching up her ankles. She detached the removable train of her dress transforming her dress into a sexy, sleek, body-hugging dress stopping well short of her knees.

As she transformed her wardrobe, she continued, “Once the world sees the mighty Heraklinos family fall by my hand, all others will fall in line. They will recognize the futility of fighting me. The people of the world will also recognize the futility of backing a lost cause of hard-headed leaders. And that is why you live today, so you can be my tool tomorrow.”

She then formed a void portal behind Jacek, and stepped forward, “Give this to Jarek for me won’t you.” She then kissed him sensually on the lips before sliding her tongue in his mouth and kissing him further with interlocked lips.

As she caressed the inside of his mouth with her tongue, she reached down and rubbed his cock through his pants making him rock hard without bloodbending. She briefly stopped kissing him to say, “It seems you do still want me, baby. Unfortunately, your third in line for me now darling. Nero and… I think you know who the other is… Jarek.”

She then lunged back towards him kissing him again while still rubbing his throbbing cock through his pants.

She then broke off her kiss and retracted her tongue, “Tell your daddy that mommy is coming for him. And he’s going to get much much more than just a kiss before I kill him.”

She then pushed him backwards with just her finger at his chest, and he fell into the void portal sending him back to the Heraklinos Empire. She closed the portal and then looked around the bay.

Within seconds of Jacek disappearing through the portal, a rail gun fired directly at Xenia from a nearby crippled destroyer. Xenia caught the armor-piercing tungsten projectile in her hand with a loud ‘BOOM’. The kinetic energy of the projectile against her hand caused the projectile to disintegrate due to its own heat.

Xenia stood firm with a smile on her face as the miniscule particles of the rail gun projectile fell to the water like sand. She looked around the bay, “Now that Jacek is safely back home, I can clean up the mess he left behind. Tsk Tsk Jacek. Leaving so many soldiers behind.”

With a wide-smile of utmost pleasure, she then raised a column of blood-red crimson ki covering the entire bay as she evaporated every remaining living soldier and remnant of the Heraklinos fleet in one fell swoop.

With the fleet fully annihilated, she then reappeared within the coliseum to the sounds of a roaring and standing ovation. She smiled with joy and waved to her empire of admirers before sitting back on her throne.

Constance respectfully bowed her head and moved to the side of the throne; however, Xenia playfully bloodbent her back into her lap and kissed her, “What an amazing wedding gift, Constance. You will stay right here in my lap where I want you. Is that clear, Constance Khan?”

Xenia then leaned bloodbent Constance to kiss her.

Constance felt a wave of pleasure roll over her as she was forced to kiss her Empress while sitting in her lap on the BloodStar throne. Once she was relinquished of her Empress’s hold, she replied with a shuddered breath, “Yes, my empress. Anything and everything you wish.”

Xenia smiled and then turned her head to yell, “Now where is my betrothed? It is time for the exchanging of our gifts!”
