Apocalypse: The Hotel She Runs Is the Only Paradise

Chapter 10: Store Regulations

Chapter 10

"Understood, host."

The system's voice was still that mechanical, monotonous tone, but Gu Wanyin inexplicably felt that it seemed somewhat... excited?

The two men still had no idea what they were about to face, approaching Gu Wanyin with lecherous grins on their faces.

However, at that moment, they suddenly flew up into the air!

"Huh?" Lin Ru was shocked.

But it seemed that the two men weren't flying of their own accord; they couldn't control their bodies!

"What's going on? Put me down!" the short man wailed.

The tall, burly man didn't even have time to cry out.

Because they inexplicably started flying around wildly in the air!

And they were flying at an extremely fast speed! Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—Fu Siheng and the others could barely see them clearly!

"Oh my, look at them fly, so fast!" Gu Wanyin said with a chuckle. "Be careful, there's a wall over there! Tsk tsk tsk, look at that, they crashed into it after all! Ouch, another collision!"

Cola and Hamburger watched with glee, even clapping their hands in excitement.

Although they were young, they could tell that these two men were bad guys.

Punishing bad guys was the most fun!

After about five minutes, the two men finally fell to the ground with a loud "thud."

They were dizzy and their entire bodies ached!

Because they had been constantly crashing into walls just now!

Before they could recover, their bodies suddenly experienced an inexplicable, intense pain, and they began to convulse uncontrollably!

"How much pain must they be in?" Fu Sishu couldn't help but shudder.

Fu Siheng was completely stunned.

He saw clearly that the hotel owner just sat there, doing nothing!

Yet these two men were being tormented to the brink of death!

After another five minutes of torture, they suddenly vanished from the hotel.

Without a trace.

"Where did they go?" Lin Ru cried out in terror. "Where are they?"

They all instinctively looked towards Gu Wanyin.

They saw that Gu Wanyin still wore that smiling expression, and she said nonchalantly, "In this hotel, those who cause trouble or don't follow the rules won't have a good outcome. Those two men just now... I reckon they've been sent somewhere no one can find them."

Lin Ru burst into tears, frantically apologizing to Gu Wanyin, "Hotel owner, I'm sorry! I lost my head earlier, I shouldn't have said those things to you! Please forgive me!"

She didn't have any special abilities!

If she encountered zombies alone, she would probably only have death awaiting her!

The reason she and the frail Fu Sishu had survived so long in this apocalyptic world was all thanks to Fu Siheng!

Even the crystal cores they had were given to them by Fu Siheng!

Gu Wanyin glanced at her, feeling no particular emotion.

People like Lin Ru, even if allowed to stay, might not necessarily follow the hotel's rules.

However... if Lin Ru were to break the rules or upset her mood, the system would immediately send Lin Ru out.

In that case, why not let the system earn some more points?

Of course, if Lin Ru behaved herself from now on and followed the hotel rules without chattering, then letting her stay wouldn't be a problem.

Just as Fu Siheng was about to plead for Lin Ru again, he heard Gu Wanyin say, "Alright, you can stay here. Take out something to exchange for points."

Lin Ru quickly said, "Thank you, hotel owner!"

She immediately took out a crystal core and placed it on the machine.

Soon, a room card appeared.

Lin Ru could check into Room 204.

Gu Wanyin said to Lin Ru with a half-smile, "Let me remind you one more time, once you check into the hotel, you must follow the rules. You can go to Room 204 and some public areas of the hotel, such as the lobby, restaurant, and so on. But you're not allowed to enter other people's rooms. If you violate this, you'll be sent away. We'll open double rooms in the future, and you can change rooms then. Do you understand?"

"I understand," Lin Ru nodded quickly.

"Hotel owner, I'd like to buy some more food," Fu Siheng said.

"Mm, bread, instant noodles, and milk are in that cabinet over there. If you want meals, go to the cafeteria to buy them yourself."

Today, Gu Wanyin had discussed with the system and moved the cabinet to the lobby.

After all, the cabinet was just for storing food, and food could be sold to outsiders.

So when Gu Wanyin mentioned it, the system agreed.

There was a paper stuck on it, listing the prices of the food inside.

This way, when guests wanted to buy these things, they wouldn't need to knock on her door anymore.

And now, because Gu Wanyin had completed another task, the cabinet also had cola, orange juice, apples, and bananas.

"Alright," Fu Siheng nodded and took Fu Sishu and Lin Ru to buy food.

Gu Wanyin heard Fu Sishu and Lin Ru's exclamations of surprise, but she was busy discussing the hotel rules with the system.

"System, there will be more and more guests in the future, and it's too troublesome to repeat the rules to each one. Why don't you make a sign with the rules written on it and put it here at the front desk? This way, everyone can see it when they arrive."

"Certainly," the system responded immediately.

Then, almost in the blink of an eye, Gu Wanyin saw a standing sign appear next to the front desk.

At the top of the sign were six large characters: Peace Hotel Rules.

Below it was written:

1. The hotel operates on a points system. Guests can exchange any item for corresponding points. Items exchanged for points cannot be returned. Each person's room card can only be used by themselves. No items within the hotel can be exchanged back for points.

2. Points are deducted after confirming the number of days of stay. Whether the room is used or not, points will not be refunded.

3. Food can be purchased independently. Corresponding points will be deducted upon receipt. Once food is sold, it cannot be returned or exchanged. Any items purchased in the hotel, as well as anything in the rooms, are not allowed to be taken outside for resale. Resources such as water and electricity in the rooms must not be wasted excessively.

4. It is forbidden to enter other guests' rooms.

5. It is forbidden to enter the main room.

6. Any violent behavior is prohibited. If conflicts cannot be resolved independently, seek the hotel owner's assistance.

7. The hotel owner has absolute authority within the hotel. Please respect the hotel owner and their family.

Note: Violators will be immediately removed from the hotel and placed on the hotel's blacklist, never to be allowed to stay again.

"Host, how are these rules?" the system asked.

Gu Wanyin looked them over and nodded with satisfaction. "Mm, they're good. If I think of anything else later, I'll tell you, and you can add it."

"Understood."

At this moment, the sound of footsteps approached, and Gu Wanyin turned to see Dong Yue running over, out of breath.

"Hotel owner sister, my room suddenly changed just now!" Dong Yue said, both surprised and delighted.

"Yes, your room has been upgraded," Gu Wanyin said.

Cola asked curiously, "What changed?"

"A lot of things were added!" Dong Yue said happily. "There are curtains and a set of table and chairs now! Oh, and in the bathroom, there's a clean towel and toilet paper, and in the kitchen, there's a small electric cooker and a set of bowls and chopsticks!"

"That's great," Gu Wanyin smiled. "Don't worry, the room will probably continue to be renovated in the future."

"Mm-hmm, thank you, hotel owner sister!"

At first, when things suddenly appeared, Dong Yue was too shocked to move. But then she thought, the sudden appearance of this hotel where zombies couldn't enter was already a miraculous thing, so a few things suddenly appearing in the room wasn't beyond comprehension.

As for why the room would automatically renovate itself, although she was curious, there was no need to ask if the hotel owner didn't mention it. After all, it wasn't doing her any harm.

"There's also some new food in the hotel. Come on, let's go take a look."
