C24 – Its Influence Was Astonishing!

As Jiang Que made his way back to the tribe, everyone respectfully greeted him.
The snow in the valley had been cleared away.
Children, bundled up in thick animal skin clothing, joyfully engaged in snowball fights and playful roughhousing.
The elders gathered together, sharing tales of recent amusing events within the tribe, their faces alight with happiness.
Such scenes were unprecedented in the history of the Flame Mountain Tribe.
Traditionally, as winter set in, the tribe would grapple with dire survival challenges due to the scarcity of food.
During these months, sightings of wild beasts were rare.
Only the formidable ferocious beasts roamed unfazed by the chill.
When the Flame Mountain Tribe’s hunters ventured out, they often returned empty-handed. On particularly unlucky days, they risked becoming prey to these formidable creatures themselves.
Without sufficient food stores by autumn, the Patriarch and the High Priest were compelled to conduct sacrificial rites.
These rites involved sending some of the elderly or disabled to the tribe’s outskirts to scatter dry leaves in their wake.
The further the leaves were strewn, the more favor the gods were believed to bestow upon the tribe’s hunting prospects for the following year.
The harsh reality of this ritual was the intentional sacrifice of these individuals to conserve the tribe’s food supply.
Each winter, despite adequate provisions, starvation claimed lives within the Flame Mountain Tribe.
Others succumbed to the cold, as food and supplies were preferentially allocated to robust men and children – the pillars of the tribe’s future and the bearers of hope.
This year, however, marked a departure from the past.
The Green Leopards slain by Jiang Que alone could sustain the tribe’s thousand-plus clansmen through the winter.
Moreover, the tribe’s food reserves allowed everyone to eat without worry.
Crucially, the dissemination of the Chaos Spell had enhanced the clansmen’s constitutions.

Each night, he would convene the elders to recount tales of how Jiang Que had stopped the snowfall with a mere gesture and illuminated the night sky with thunder and lightning.
The elders would then embellish these stories, passing them on to the younger members with utmost gravity.

Seeking solitude, he had the clansmen construct a larger wooden house there.
A vast clearing stretched out before the house.
There, Jiang Que began to run.

He ran, recalling the insights he had gleaned over the past fortnight, attempting to integrate them.
