Chapter 57- I will serve you
Chapter 57- I will serve you
Under the brightly shining sun of peak afternoon at two, one could see a lone figure currently picking up leaves from a garden. His process is slow and deliberate since he has some sort of anklet tied around his ankles.
He is the same person who broke the rule as a student and was given the punishment of cleaning the garden while wearing the weighted anklets, after class.
Logan has faced the most severe situations so this much was nothing for him.
'Haah...' But undoubtedly, he didn't enjoy this punishment as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. The crunch of leaves signifies how hot the sun in the early period of the year has turned out to be.
'But to think he was so weak...and he didn't seem to possess any skill...' When Logan heard yesterday that Kyle was unawakened yet he defeated that candidate with barrier skills, Logan thought that Kyle might be hiding his skill because of some circumstances.
However, when today he attacked the silver-haired butler, as a warrior the first thing he should have done was to activate his skill. It is a natural reaction to an emergency.
However, it felt like Logan was targeting a regular man who received that attack with minimal defense.
"Phew....almost done." Abandoning Kyle's thoughts, Logan stared at the remaining bunch of trees, under which there were about fifty dried fallen leaves.
"Oh, my~Punishment on the second day?" Hearing that voice, Logan knew who it was.
"Professor Clara." Turning toward her, he gave a respectful bow and said, "Thank you for your guidance yesterday."
In this Academy if someone has behaved normally and quite politely toward him then it was this violet-haired professor. Logan liked her personality and helping nature.
Clara was holding an umbrella over her head and books in the other one as she asked, "So is it true that you attacked someone and beat them senseless this morning?"
Logan's eyes parted wide, "Who the fu-" That glare from Clara prohibited him from saying that word before Logan finished speaking in his defense, "....who spread such a false rumor? I just attacked someone and only some bones in his hand were slightly dislocated."
Clara narrowed her eyes even more as she asked, "Are you really telling the truth?"
"If I speak any lie here then I would clean the garden like this for the rest of this year."
Clara's brows elevated as she believed in him, "Well if you say so. Thankfully, it wasn't a student who got attacked, but unfortunately, the servant you attacked serves the Princess. Did you know that?"
Logan shrugged, "For me, strength matters. And I found Kyle a worthy opponent...until I didn't attack him. And didn't Professor Clara say that every student inside the Academy is equal...then why should I be stressed about classmate Alatia?"
Seeing that nonchalant side, Clara heaved a sigh, "That's the rule but try to follow some social norms sometimes. There is a life outside the academy that doesn't work based on rules... especially for some individuals with some certain authorities."
Logan blinked before a frown marred his face. He somehow could understand what she was saying and knew that Clara was looking out for him.
Giving her another bow, he respectfully said, "Thank you for the advice, Professor. I am really grateful."
Clara chuckled and turned on her heels to leave.
Suddenly she paused and without turning to look at him, she asked Logan, "What name did you say of that person whom you attacked?"
Logan pulled himself up and while tilting his head in confusion he said, "Kyle....? Is there something the matter, Professor?"
Clara shook her head and began to walk away.
'Kyle huh...'

After the classes were over a certain blond girl could be seen currently hurrying her way past everyone without paying any heed to what they were whispering about her.
The reason for Alatia's rush was Kyle. The injury he incurred this morning might have been healed but the nurse said that he should avoid using that hand for today at the very least.
She didn't stay in the main building to enjoy the services of the cafeteria and made her way back to the dorm even though it was only three on the clock.
Her priority lies in Kyle.

"I am back." Announcing her return, Alatia searched around the dorm room and didn't find Kyle in the living area.
She didn't bother to exchange the shoes and after getting rid of her school shoes she ran bare feet inside.
She could see that the house was in a proper condition—tidier than how she left it in the morning, which made her concerned as she stepped inside the bedroom....and finally halted her steps.
Her shoulders slumped and a sigh of relief escaped through her lips.
On the bed, slept a silver-headed prince while hugging the pillow.
She slowly made her towards him while being cautious of not stumbling on things.
Once she reached him, she glanced at his injured hand and fortunately, the bandage was still wrapped around it.
His silver bangs covered his closed eyes and there was no emotion on his face apart from peacefulness.
Alatia smiled at this rare vulnerable side of her lover as she softly brushed his hair and whispered in a barely audible tone,
"How can't someone fall for such a pretty face?"
Alatia was about to remove her hand and prepare some tea when suddenly her hand was taken into a firm hold and she was pulled back on the bed.
Alatia's yelp was adorable to his ears as Kyle rested his Princess on himself and hugged her soft and warm body.
Her fragrance tempted him and her presence comforted him.
While softly brushing her golden strands away so he could look into her violet eyes, Kyle said,
"So am I just a pretty face for you? I never knew you had such a shallow love for me."
Alatia did not panic, except for that time when he just suddenly pulled her. She rested her chin on his chest and slightly tilted her head, "It's too late to realize now. You are already too deeply in love with me to back out now."
That amount of words was already more than what she said during classes. And that smile she was exposing might have made her classmate unsure whether they were looking at the same Alatia.
"Oo~so it's like that, huh? So I am now completely bounded to you."
Without a doubt." Alatia reaffirmed before her eyes traveled to the hand he just raised, which urged her to ask, "How is it?"
Kyle paused his hand, which was about to remove the pillow from under his head before he replied,
"Just as I said before, I am already healed. There is no pain and no uncomfortable sensation anywhere else."
Alatia feared that the shockwave of that attack might have traveled to other parts of his body that's why she had him go through a thorough checkup before he was allowed to return to the dorm.
Hearing his words, she sighed in relief before getting up.
"You sit here. I will prepare the tea." Kyle was about to get up when suddenly he found her index finger pressing against his chest.
Alatia, with her eyes narrowed, reminded him, "Don't you remember what the nurse said? No work for you today."
Taking his bowtie from the nearby table she wrapped it around her neck and said determinedly,
"Today, I will be serving you."
