The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 506

Chapter 506: Jack’s cards!

“Y-you mean to say cops are here?” It was Amara who inquired with her mind going numb with the words.

She could feel her entire world collapsing at this point just by a few phrases.

In response to her words, Butler nodded his head with his eyes too bulging out. “I mean what I’m saying , Mistress. They are here.. police ...”

“Oh God.. Lucas....” Amara rotated her head to gaze at her son. He was also showered with disbelief. For a few minutes, Lucas too didn’t move.

But when Amara had intentionally shook his shoulders to bring him out of his shock state, did he find himself returning back to the surface.

“Uh? Police? I will handle them...” Lucas said cautiously, when he got up from the ground and adjusted his wrinkled clothes. His eyes were shuttered together and even, Grandfather had no words to describe the circumstances.

The rush was already running inside everyone’s brain. But on the other corner, Jack smirked down. His grin was so wide that it reached upto his eyes.

.....

His aura had changed, so was the body language.

She was too keen to learn about the situation now. ‘What has he planned?’ What was the trick and the surprise that he hid under his sleeves? It would be fun to watch.

At the same time, the door of the mansion was opened with a loud bang. Their eyes fell upon the cops who stood there with the strict expressions on their faces.

No one could say that the temperature raced automatically. Their hearts were beating too loudly to bang out of the current state. The cops straightaway moved towards Lucas, looking straight at his eyes.

“We are here to arrest you, Lucas Smith. For the criminal charges of killing Ms. Seren and your unborn child.” The man claimed and as usual, Lucas’s face lost its color.

“D-d-do you even have a warrant against me?” Lucas asked with his own stumbling to which he received a nod, “We come prepared Mr. Smith. You don’t have to worry about that.”

“S-show me that!” Lucas told immediately and as per the rules, the cops showed him the sheets and the order they received. It was the evident stamp on papers with telecasted them that every it was going legally.

At this point, their all minds raptured and still remained silent. As Amara’s heartbeat increased, she met with grandfather Smith’s eyes, who had now asked her to shut up her lips.

Those gazes were so heavy for her to roll up and gulp back a row of sweat. But the urgency do not let anything happen.

Lucas didn’t subside.

Similarly, Lucas read the content. But, this doesn’t stop him, “I see you gave a warrant but is there any proof with you? Just because there is a clip going viral, that doesn’t mean that that’s me.”

“Anyone else can also wear my mask or something. I haven’t done anything and I will not stand the charges that I haven’t committed.” Lucas commented with a solid mindset. For the first time, they heard him so confident.

Since the time Jennifer arrived, she hadn’t seen him being so proud of himself. This brought a fake chuckle out of her lips, but she hid it behind her hands to cover her mouth.

The cops looked displeased with wordings, “Mr. Smith, if you are innocent, then corporate. Nothing should be found against you if you aren’t involved. But for now,you will have to come with us.”

“I’m not going anywhere, do you understand this?” Lucas’s bossy nature started to show its true colors. Lucas stepped close to the cop, without tearing his hefty bizarre gazes, “Listen, I allowed you to step inside my premises. But that doesn’t mean you rule out and follow.”

“Is that so?” The cops raised their hands too. Their brows raised and this made everyone curious.

Lucas being Lucas, stepped even closer. He raised his fingers to look at the policeman. Their eyes turned a sharp cold glare which didn’t leave spare either.

“You don’t know who I am..do you? Smith family...I can destroy your career. Don’t force me to take any step. So, just leave...”

“We will leave once you come with us, Mr. Smith.” The policeman was trying to be respectable. Even though the cop’s brain was too twisted, they still held their pace in front of this insane man.

At this point, Grandfather Smith’s mind grew when his eyes narrowed. There was a trace of suspicion on the policeman, which increased the hardness of his voice, “Hey you! If you want money, tell us your price. We are willing to give. But go back without making much drama here.”

The policeman looked over to the old man, and as per what grandfather said, Lucas too loosened at the policeman with a smirk, “You policeman surely need something big. Just price and you’ll get the price you want. Nothing will be less. Double, probably. tell us.”

“You will not get anything.” Suddenly, the voice raised.

Everyone shifted their glances to survey and came across that it was Jack who said these words. While Jack was enjoying his whiskey, there was a trace of enjoyment in these two balls. “You don’t have any right to use the money without my permission.”

“W-what..the hell..”

Lucas uttered his breath. Seeing the demon’s face right now, irked his sour mood. Jack wasn’t intentionally or tarnish his reputation and put him in tight spot, “Not now, jack..we can deal with our fewd l-”

“I don’t care about us. I care about money. You can’t use my money to your advantage. Why shall we use them?” Jack made nonstachl comments and this made everyone present there puzzled.

The daze was hard to undercover and Jack appeared to be peaceful for them to understand. But grandfather Smith was still in disbelief, “What is, Jack? What do you mean by your actions and words?”

“Did Lucas not tell you about what he had done?” Jack extended the words and this made grandfather shake his head, “About what?”

“About the transfer of the shares?”
